Not as bad as Boboli, that stuff is horrible.   Any Greek pizza place within 10 miles can make a better pizza.  If you call pizza a pie or tomato sauce gravy I immediately stop listening to your goomba speak.

katerbug72: This is the best recipe for pizza dough that I've tried so far. For my son's birthday last year, I made six pizzas and they were all fantastic with no leftovers.

http://www.annies-eats.com/2010/04/29/perfect-homemade-pizza-crust-t ip s-and-tricks/

Basic Pizza DoughYield: enough dough for 2 medium pizzas or 4 calzonesIngredients½ cup warm water

2¼ tsp. instant yeast
4 cups (22 oz.) bread flour, plus more for dusting
1½ tsp. salt
1¼ cup water, at room temperature
2 tbsp. extra-virgin olive oil
DirectionsMeasure the warm water into a 2-cup liquid measuring cup.  Sprinkle the yeast over the top.  In the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, combine the bread flour and salt, mixing briefly to blend.  Measure the room temperature water into the measuring cup with the yeast-water mixture.  With the mixer on low speed, pour in the yeast-water mixture as well as the olive oil.  Mix until a cohesive dough is formed.  Switch to the dough hook.  Knead on low speed until smooth and elastic, about 5 minutes.  Transfer to a lightly oiled bowl, turning once to coat.  Cover with plastic wrap and let rise until doubled in size, 1½-2 hours.

Thanks, I'll give this a go. The biggest problem I have with homemade pizza is the dough. I've tried many different recipes to no avail. I hope this is the one that pans out.

/get it?
//"pans" out
///oh never mind.

MrEricSir: As a Californian, I still don't understand what mediocre frozen pizza has to do with our state.

It probably has something to do with the less than mediocre pizza restaurant chain of the same name that was founded there.

In Canada, they are called Delissio. I don't know why.

Also, the SafeWay Select goat cheese pizza is where it's at.
