I love watching this race, as well as the other 2 crowns in the Triple Crown. They are Rites of Spring (my 2nd favorite season)

Since the ice is broken up, though, juleps should be thrown down the hatch quickly; otherwise the ice will melt and dilute the drink.

I did learn something.

Mint juleps are meant to be slammed.

9.  NBC will fark up the NHL Playoff telecasts yet again, typically before a tense moment in the third period or OT to bring two hours of D-list 'celebrities' wearing who the hell cares what.  Fark you Kentucky.  Fark you NBC.

Becausej training horses is one of the greatest hings man can do.  My stepdaughter at age 14 breaks and trains mustang and arabs for the sheer joy of it.
