I'm not a cop apologist, but traffic stops are the most risky part of their job, they HAVE to control the situation.

I've always thought she seemed like a stuck up diva. I'm genuinely surprised at how many of my friends are defending Reese and making excuses for her behavior.

Absolutely.  It's the part of their job which makes it as dangerous as, say, working construction.

She's filling the role that every single house party has ever had.  The hammered guy/girl that thinks HE/SHE can convince the cops to just chill out and leave everyone alone.  Through sheer force of their irresistible charisma .   I've been in the husband's situation at least a dozen times (albeit not while getting a DUI).

Is she some kind of Sovereign Citizen potato? I thought Hollywood was full of liberals, and decent god-fearing patriots were blackballed? What gives?

She was a biatch and deserved to be arrested.  Oh, and her movies suck.

2013-05-03 09:34:15 AM
In the second video, after telling her to get back in the car the officer says "If I tell you again, I'm going to arrest you."  I don't know law, so what law would she have broken to be threatened with being arrested for just getting out of the car?  Is it not complying with an officer, the perceived potential for danger in the mind of the officer, or is the officer just being a dick?

/her accent was showing

She said she was pregnant and had to pee. So she's drunk while she is pregnant? Is that better or worse than lying to the cops?

She made it surprisingly clear that she's an "AMERICAN citizen and has the right to sstsand on an AMERICAN street"

2013-05-03 09:36:13 AM
I saw some of this on the news. I got a laugh out of the "I am an american citizen." Honey try that line overseas and see how well it works. It dosent work here and it sure as hell wont work over there. My drunk brain works pretty well around cops, if they are around I just STFU and if they ask me anything its "Yes sir" or "No sir". I've had friends like her where you almost had to knock them out to stop farking with a cop. At the end they win you go to jail and have to pay lawyers for your dumbassary.

If that was the second time, then she deserved to be arrested.  I would have frisked her a little more thoroughly though.

I also liked how her hubby threw her under the bus at the end of the video.

Obstruction for hindering the officer's investigation of the DUI, maybe disorderly conduct depending on what she said

I would never have the patience to be a cop.

I would actually be sympathetic if it were a houseparty and someone called the cops over noise or whatnot. The fact that they were in a vehicle makes me lose sympathy.

Thanks for the answer, but obstruction and disorderly conduct seems a bit much for just getting out of the car.

Obstruction and disorderly conduct seem to be standard charges for annoying or embarassing a police officer.

Not to a cop. In fact... among my group of friends, I've always been the designated person to talk to the cops when everyone is drunk there's a complaint against one of our parties. It doesn't matter how drunk I get, I always remember to start out all conversations with law enforcement with "evening officer, how can I help you" and say "no sir", "yes sir," "it won't happen again," "we didn't realize... if only the neighbors had come directly to us, we could have avoided waisting your time." "have a good evening" as needed.

I've seen that work a couple of times. I have this friend who is pretty good looking, has a great body and we were having a small party that had gotten rather loud (plus we'd gotten wrecked on some weed we picked up that was spiked with something so it was kind of crazier than usual). At any rate, we knew it was them before opening the door. I was hiding behind the couch, convinced I was going to be arrested and my hot friend decided to take it in her hands to fix the situation. She ripped off her top, went to the door dressed in a wrap skirt (think beach/bikini wrap) and a bikini top. She turned down the music, opened the door and promised to close all the windows all while apologizing profusely, claiming we didn't notice it was 3 am. Worked out nicely. Depends on how you talk to them, being good-looking doesn't hurt either.

Hahahahahahahaha oh my. She hit almost the entire "drunk white girl" bingo card.

-I'm a US citizen
-I can stand/go where I want
-are you seriously arresting me?
-almost in tears
-exaggeration of terms "I'm being ANTI-American??"
-and of course generally being loud, in his face, and very annoying

LOLZ btw to the husband sitting there thinking "good luck, officer, trust me she won't shut the f*ck up"
He looks like he's had years of giving up trying to be logical with her.

Man what a mess.

It's the Chris Rock version, mostly. I don't hate cops. You have a job to do, and 45% or that is covered by me and my kids not being an asshole or a retardo. 50% of it is you having to go and clean up after unpleasant accidents. That, and we will call a man sir when he puts his life on the line for his community, I have no problem with that.

The other 5% is making sure to stay out of your line of sight when you're having a shiatty day, because when YOU decide to be an asshole at work,  you can fark up my life permanently.

My Terry stops, let me show them to you...

In some states, isn't getting out of your car during a police stop (without authorization) an automatic arrest?

I don't believe it's a law, more of a standard operating procedure....

But then, I'm not an internet lawyer, so don't take it as gospel.
