laulaja: Also compliments to John Buck 41 & Mrs on their Lake Place, meant to be offered yesterday & furr-got. Better later than not at all, eh?

Sickapie: Oh man. I just ate a macadamia nut cookie with white chocolate chips. The soft kind./Homer Simpson drool.......
lilyspad: Sherpa....and NEXT time, drink LOTS of water before you go in....plumps you up!!! :D
professional_vampire: sherpa18: professional_vampire, paging professional_vampire to the thread. I have a question regarding a botched blood draw. / yes, on meThe vampire is here - how may I help you this evening?
Dad is home and feels fine, though taking it easy as he still gets a bit short of breath after exertion. But hell, he's 90! Jasper is home but very logy. Made it thru his 'procedure' with flying colors. Vet said to expect him to gain some weight (he's 10.5# now) but that's a general rule when critters get neutered. Thanks to all for your thoughts and comments on both my Pa and my Kitteh.

Story time, I have a very early memory of being put down for a nap in Oma"s house in Germany. I remember the room was cold and the sofa was very hard and itchy against my face. I did not want to take a nap there. I must have been around three or four at the time. Mom told me later that it was a horsehair sofa in her parents parlor.
guess which little stinker wouldn't take a nap on an itchy, old sofa!
professional_vampire: As for the asshat who abused that poor kitten - I'd love to take him hiking with me and have him "accidentally" trip and fall while at a scenic overlook!

The Ice Queen: ugh, anyways, need vibes telling Dewey to get his scrawny butt home or I'm eating his chicken......

Before you bite? Bitte sehr???
*crawls in the thread* Hi everyone. Sorry I have been absent alot the last few weeks. Lots going on in Becca Land. My Mom is having spinal surgery on the 13th, so I am heading to Michigan on the 11th and will be with her for 5 weeks. There is a 50/50 chance she could come out of this paralyzed. I will check in on Caturday when I can. I was just up there 2 weeks ago to see my new grandson. I am stressed beyond my limits. Even my "happy pills" aren't taking the stress away. I want to scream, cry, and knock the shiat out of something. My brother lives about 30 minutes away from my parents, and can't be nice enough to help out. He will come and see mom and dad, but as far as this surgery aftercare goes, he will be of no help. I guess he feels its easier for me to drive 9 hours one way to do it. Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't have it any other way. I love my parents and will do what ever I have to. I am feeling guilt along with the stress, because I will be leaving my husband alone for 5 weeks. I know, he can take care of himself, he can cook, clean, and would make someone a wonderful house husband. So I don't know why I am feeling so guilty. My poor cat is going to wonder what the hell happened to me. Maybe this isn't the place to vent, and I am sorry about that. It was either come in here and vent, or vent at my husband. He knows how difficult I am having it right now, so I hate to make him worry more. Forgive me for all the words if I post a cat pic??
yobbery: Sorry, I need more detail before I can wholly agree. :o)[www.smugmug.com image 472x355]

laulaja: Orb is right, striding thru/past the mud puddles at Churchill Downs. Did watch. lilys, you're kind, gentle & generous to TF maynerdkitty. Makes you even more deserving of title on your nametag at work.tigerose, musta been you re Eli & young chipmunk. Shortly before she moved in as #10, Piiki nabbed a chipmunk across the lane, fetched it back & set it at Plumbicon's feet. Mayhap needless to say, once set down the chipmunk scarpered as fast as it could.Made Aussie YL net OK, my mic not working to begin but sharp thwack brought it to its senses. Aus Ladies Amateur Radio Assn on-Echolink mtg is Mon, think I can attend prior to chorus installation dinner.Once I say, I may hear, but computer hasn't sung at me for a while. Managed scan of medal, but it requires 2 -- medal itself prefers not to line up with marked ribbon. 5km got blue, 10km got red, kids marathon got yellow.Mob that let dopekitty74 live with them are all attractive.[i.imgur.com image 639x636]credit sherpa 11-20-12. Also saw pic of 5wk old tuxie Justin who some s.o.b. in MD set afire, over there.Wl see if he's expected to survive -- do hope so. Next along with medal etc.Humidity now 51% so close up first.
Sickapie: maynerdkitty: Took this video earlier this week, I saw Tom with something in his mouth but I did not notice King George following him around at first. From the look on poor Toms face this has happened before!LinkHAHAHAHAHAA! What a brat!"Dum dee dumm..just going to prance around and look innocent...YOINK!"
Finally home, type at ft of Lucky Pg 7. Bemedalled, tho it's not scanned yet. Completed 5km walk successfully, lunched festively afterward (5 of us from chorus, all bemedalled, 1 twice who did 10km walk earlier).
The white boy says it's time for him to go snuggle ... maybe that means I can go sneak in and eat dinner without his help? *snort, giggle* AS IF!
I_fling_poo: [farm9.staticflickr.com image 500x500]Lola's new haircut...beats picking up hairballs. She actually moves around a lot more when she has shorter hair. When her hair is all grown out, she just lays down on the wood flooring to keep cool.As a bonus, she *almost* becomes a cuddler.Almost.

syzygy whizz: Hello everybodeee! ^-^='.'=Sickapie: Oh man. I just ate a macadamia nut cookie with white chocolate chips. The soft kind./Homer Simpson drool.......Oh now that's just cruel.../ off sugar and flour until further notice. It's helping...but still...white chocolate and macadamia nuts in a soft cookie...(sobs)~*~*~*~*Bless me, Caturday people, for I am confused (read: 'conflicted').That mean, aggressive feral tomcat crossed the line today...beat up D'Artagnan when he (D'Artagnan) was trying to come inside.I called Animal Control, they delivered the Hav-a-hart trap about noon. Had him trapped by 3:30, and they came and they took him away. No 'Ha-HA!' about it, however...When I saw him in the trap, I just felt bad for the poor bastard...and I feel guilty, because I know what's going to happen to this hostile, aggressive, probably sick cat.If he'd just gotten on with his feral routine, I wouldn't have had a problem, but I've spent over $200 dollars at the vet because of this cat...and that's NOT counting paying for the spaying of the original 'attractant' (next-door neighbor's queen-in-heat). It's not the money; it's what my poor cats have suffered (e.g., injury, having to visit the vet, treatment, etc.).I still don't feel 'good' about this.I know my cats (ALL the neighborhood cats) will be MUCH happier; it had gotten to the point where Riktor, Wimsey and Raven didn't want to go outdoors. After the cat had been trapped (but before AC came to pick him up), they went up to the trap (while keeping a safe distance) and just stared at him for a few minutes before sauntering off.Pretty sure they knew what was going on...and there'll be a kitty performance of "Ding-dong, the bastard's GONE!" among the neighborhood felines tonight.D'Artagnan seems to be OK aside from a pulled muscle or two...his gait is 'off', but there don't seem to be any wounds. Still going to keep an eye on him. I gave him some of Riktor's arthritis homeopathic medicine, and ...
professional_vampire: Happy Caturday, Dragon! Did you hear me yell "Hi" to you and Sherpa around 4:00 this afternoon as I drove past your place?
OlderGuy: Sickapie: The Ice Queen: Yeah Caturday! This week has sucked :(I know the feeling! Hope the weekend is better for you!I know the feeling also, per my moansday night mini - rant... shall we say that Tuesday morning was 'interesting'... point was gotten, law was laid down.. as was said on Tron, "end of line".. the rest of the week has gone better...
