Actually I like the 'Evolution-verse' costume for Scarlet Witch a little better.
And I like the idea of having the characters being young (mid to late teens) and just really coming into their powers.

IIRC, it's more about the "mutant" sub-verse that Fox has the rights to than anything.  If Marvel labels them "mutants" then there would be trouble with Fox.  If Marvel labels them as "metahumans" or simply doesn't then they're ok.

FOX owns 'mutants'.

Marvel can use SW and QS so long as the word 'mutant' is not used and there is no indication of Magneto's parenthood.  There is a special case written for these two due to their 'crossoverness' with the Avengers history.  As a corollary, none of the new Marvel productions can ever use anything related to 'mutants' in general.

Then there's not much point in them showing up other than Wanda being the Vision's love interest. And you could spend two hours explaining her powers and..."What? She makes your bread land butter side down?"

Sam Raimi was bummed that Daredevil used Kingpin because he wanted to use him in a Spidey movie, there was the same problem with The Skrulls tied into FF's rights from being the aliens in Avengers. Nevermind that stupid retcon they went with in his own movie...if Wolveriene never ages, he isn't a mutant....hell, technically he isn't even Canadian

The world of Marvel character film rights is a confusing place indeed. In the past year or so though, Marvel got the rights to Daredevil, Blade, and Punisher back. Which makes me crave a Daredevil/Punisher movie.

The biggest rights Marvel is still missing are X-Men (with Fox), Fantastic Four (Fox), and Spider-Man (Sony). Don't think any of those will be reverting any time soon, given movies for all of them are in some level of production right now.

I haven't read comic books since I was a kid, so I'm kind of ignorant about some of the characters.

Quicksilver is a gay nerd with no muscle tone? What's his secret power? COBOL programming?

I still don't know how they can do a Thanos / Infinity Gems storyline without Galactus and Silver Surfer. Anything Marvel having to do with going into space generally includes them, and they were both a pretty significant part of the comic.

I've felt they should have a second tier of direct to video or tv shows that focuses on the street-level heros.  The cost would be much less than all the special effects used in the AAA titles.  I would completely watch a Marvel 'underverse' with anthologized Punisher/Dare Devil/Blade/and occasional Ghost Rider...

/here's hoping some of this happens in the new tv show.

Also: Who could forget that nugget of awesome Thomas Jane dropped on us a couple of years ago with that Punisher mini-movie he did.  That made me pine for his return as ol' Frank.

Ya. Word was that FOX was close to done with a fairly nice script for rebooted Dare Devil, but wouldn't have it in production in time before the rights reverted. Disney offered them an extension in exchange for SS and Galactus, so at least the Surfer would be in  Avengers 2 and/or GoG. FOX decided to keep those for the eventual reboot of FF.

Don't forget Adam Warlock.  He was equally important in the Infinity Gauntlet.
