Chris Hadfield looks down on the global economy, thumbs his new polymer five-dollar bill, and nods in agreement before shedding one perfect tear for the future of the earth.

/did anybody on Fark catch the unveiling?

Most Farkers have no grip on how the economy works. This is best evidenced by the lack of posts in this thread.

I thought it was funny.

As much as I would have liked him to stay on here, the most good he can do for Canada is working to keep Britain and the rest of Europe afloat.

The fundamental flaw in this argument is the assumption that Greenspan, or anyone else who actually matters, would ever give a crap about the Canadian economy

He will be hammered by the British tabloids through his weakspot: his wife.

Carney was irritated at Greenspan for farking up the American economy which had knock-on effects for everyone else.  Americans should be irritated at Greenspan for the first part of that.

"Worthwhile Canadian Initiative"

I love my country, but in a quiet, unassuming way.

Bit late, isn't he?

Also, what exactly is the deal with the small hands?

So, if this guy were born in america, he would minister of what exactly?  Its easy to be finance minister of a country like canada.  Bob with a finance degree from a community college can do that.  You have to be talented to do it in a country that has the ability to alter the economic environment activites through policies.

/ you are not fit to carry Alan Greenspan's high button shoes.  Shut up and go away.

What do you expect from someone who followed Ayn Rand's nonsense?

You know he's been hired as the first non-British head of the Bank of England ever, right?

What can we say, Greenspan was right. The bubble burst and there was a minor hiccup and the economy went right on growing.

He didn't cause a global economic collapse that the US is still struggling to get out of five years and Europe is threatening to throw us back into.

Nope, Mr Greenspan is the greatest person in the history of everything.

I agree with Carney. Greenspan was an idiot when it came to adjusting interest rates in the '90s. It takes more than two months for the change to take effect, yet every other month was another interest rate change. Its like he never did this crap before.
