The what is coming to what now?

Not having cable keeps me really out of the loop, for better or worse. I'm going with the "better" side if it involves Beck and the 8th Hoveround  Column of followers.

Making people who don't want the network pay for it so the few people who do can watch. Pure socialism.

Beck's followers should embrace the labels and call themselves 'Beckers'...the really gung-ho ones could be 'Beckerheads'

Well, yeah, of course; I just use the link I do because it aggregates a whole bunch of other network feeds too.

Fark optimum. Shiaty service, absurd rate, and random outages.

So, about five people will actually get the channel to watch it? Sounds like a conspiracy .

Man, you got my hopes up and dashed them faster than you can say "Odelay."

It means that Jon Stewart might go back to ridiculing Glenn Beck on a semi-regular basis, so...yeah...that's pretty SPIFFY.

Beck < MC 900 FT Jesus

Beck had the Scientologists to push him into popularity and his music has always been a bit bland, plus he is an ageing hipster. Odelay was a good effort, but his music is just more of the same.

MC 900 FT Jesus One Step Ahead of the Spider owns everything Beck has ever done.

HotWingConspiracy: But we're still not allowed to have Al Jazeera.

Just got this email from al-Jazeera America today.

Hello -

Thanks for signing up to stay informed as we work toward launching Al Jazeera America later this year. We wanted to send you an update today on where we are at and where we're heading.

As you might have read, we've begun to assemble a top-notch team of journalists, editors, producers and digital gurus. And we brought on board Ali Velshi, who has already started to develop a prime-time business show. Other programming is in the works too.

Earlier this week, we updated our announcement site with a whole new look. Leading up to our launch, this site will house the latest updates about our hires, programming, bureaus and other exciting announcements.

Our team is visiting Chicago and Detroit this week to meet with local business and civic leaders in both cities and to engage with students at Northwestern's Medill School of Journalism. In fact, we wanted you to be among the first to know that two of our 12 U.S. bureaus will be opening in these two cities. These new bureaus will focus on telling stories from the Midwest, especially how news in the region affects people nationwide.

We'll keep you updated by email over the coming weeks. In the meantime, like us on Facebook, follow us on Twitter and visit our blog for an inside look at what it takes to launch a news channel (hint: a lot of talented people!).

And we want to hear from you. Tweet us or leave a comment on our Facebook page. Whether it's just to say hi or tell us why you're excited about Al Jazeera America, we're listening.

- The Al Jazeera America Team

We're allowed, some cable companies even carry them. Most don't feel it's worth the cost.

To be honest that Fox "News" aired Beck while he was regularly regurgitating John Birch Society conspiracy BS IMO just contributed to the stupid that is part of our everyday political discourse today. We have not only a significant percentage of our population that believe that our President is a Muslim but a significant percentage that LITERALLY believe that he is the Antichrist.
