Went to the Omaha Beef website, noticed they featured the "Prime Dancers", thought I'd check out the eye candy.

That was unfortunate.

Gotta agree. If Timmy still wants to be an NFL QB he isn't going to learn from this never was.

These piss ant minor league/semipro organizations think it's hilarious to offer contracts to the just released / retired / fired famous athlete cuz they know it will get picked up by the wires and get some stupid publicity for them.  As soon as Kansas City's indoor team heard about this, they made an offer as well, which is somehow even more pathetic.

It so tired and old and umworthy of mention.  Same for the upcoming minor league baseball team "Tim Tebow" nights that are sure to happen.  We need Bill Veeck types again.

To be fair, arena football IS where has-beens go to die.

This league isn't at the level of arena football. The AFL's $800/week is somewhat embarrassing, but $75/week? Damn, man.

on a side note, has anyone put together a list of NFL teams that have said "no thanks" to Tebow since his release?

The Beef have done an excellent job of advertising their team without having to spend any money at all.  I applaud whoever their marketing director is for his effort in this endeavor.

tebow should steer clear off this.

What_Would_Jimi_Do: tebow should steer clear off this.

On the one hand, he needs to watch his flank and keep all options open. On the other hand, I don't think he could handle the ribbing he would receive from the media. It would be like a 24/7 roast.

Are you kidding? Tebow is all about milking as much publicity as he can out of these situations. He knows his career is at steak here, and there aren't any NFL teams particularly bullish on his outlook, so he should at least go visit them for a rump meeting of a press conference, just to get his image mooving back into a positive PR direction.

He won a starting spot as QB for a post-college football team.  More than you can say for Timmy.

in defense of the Beef QB - he has a really good passing game.

The news reporters (and subby) have really degenerated themselves to a new level by attempting to mock Tebow with these articles in response to his release by the Jets.  I'm sure Tebow will remain classy while these reporters (and subby) roll around in their own filth.

The amount of hate for Tim Tebow is astounding. So what if his first two pro seasons
(last year's farce of a season w/ the NY f*cktards doesn't count) weren't statistically
awesome.

Look at Namath's first two pro seasons. Rookie season for both, Tebow's completion
average and TD average were better than Namath's.In their second season, Namath's
completion  average was slightly better than Tebow's (but still under 50%) but Tebow's
TD average was still better.

Namath had more yardage, but the Jets were more of a passing team then than Denver
was in 2010 and 2011.

Point is, sometimes some of the best players have a slow, bumpy start out of the gate.

Tebow is a versatile player that coupled with his support for his teammates and his
unwavering grace and good spirit would make him an asset to any franchise.

Compare QB stats across totally different eras in the NFL is worse than useless.  Tebow doesn't have a job because he's worse than every starting NFL quarterback at throwing the football.  That's not an astounding amount of hate, that's a simple fact.  If he'd be an asset to any franchise someone would pick him up.

I'm sure Tebow just took the offer and heeled it down the drain.

You seem to be under the impression that people hate Tebow as a player.

People hate Tebow because he was shoved down their throats for two years as almost literally the Second Coming by people desperate to have some sort of cultural legitimacy.

not sharp knees so much as... unimpressive.

there are some very attractive women down in that part of the world. they didn't manage to convince them to stay to dance for the beef. hell, they could dip into the high school seniors, then you have the advantage of hot white jailbait.

but noooooooo, they went there.
