FTFA:  Anne Frank hung a picture of Durbin on the wall of the attic in which she and her family hid from the Nazis.
Well, that's what they told her the picture was.

good for her for getting away from a career she didn't care for, and for not letting fame and fortune turn her into a piece of shiat. can't imagine how hard it is to stay grounded when everyone is blowing smoke up your skirt, asking for autographs and gladly paying for your lunch.

<blockquote>We talked about Great Falls, Montanahttp://cybernetic-meadows.net/brautigan/tiki-editpage.php?page= Montana" title="Create page: Montana" class="wiki wikinew">?. I told Trout Fishing in America about a winter I spent as a child in Great Falls. "It was during the war and I saw a http://cybernetic-meadows.net/brautigan/tiki-index.php?page=Deanna+Dur bin" title="Information about Deanna Durbin" class="wiki">Deanna Durbin movie seven times," I said.

The baby put a blue rock in Trout Fishing in America's shirt pocket and he said, "I've been to Great Falls many times. I remember Indians and fur traders. I remember Lewis and Clark, but I don't remember ever seeing a Deanna Durbin movie in Great Falls." </blockquote>

Sorry Richard Brautigan isn't still around, too.

FTFA:  "The character I was forced into had little or nothing in common with myself - or with other youth of my generation, for that matter."

That hasn't stopped Hollywood from making movies and TV shows aimed at youth for generations that have "...little or nothing in common with myself - or with other youth of my generation, for that matter."
