Kauai is the best place.  Even if the baby isn't found by another person, it's highly probable that it will be raised by chickens.

Are we STILL going on about Obama's birth certificate?

Good advice. They'll print you up a fake birth certificate that says ANYTHING you want it to say.

Actually, if you are going to abandon a baby, take it to a hospital, or occupied police station or fire department.  Every single state in the union has a "Safe Haven Law" where you can drop of a newborn anonymously, no questions asked, and you won't be prosecuted for child abandonment or endangerment.

The distaffbopper and I are the adoptive parents of a safe haven baby, the littlebopper.  He was dropped off when he was 5 hours old.  We got to stay in the hospital with him, and we were his foster parents for 18 months before we could finalize the adoption.   He is now a very precocious 9 year old boy.

If you are pregnant and scared and for whatever reason abortion isn't an option, but you know you can't take care of the child, consider using your state's safe haven law.  You may just make a childless couple very, very happy.

Haoli o' Hawaii

My mother abandoned me in Hawaii. Facing certain death or laest resale at the hands of the vendors of Waikiki Beach, a local group of Hawaiians raised me as their own and taught me the ways of Hawaii. Now, I live among the locals as one of them and fight to defend their timeless honor and protect their way of life.

Main Bus Stop Ala Moana Mall
Tourist: Does anyone know if this bus goes to Waikiki? (Pause) DOES ANYONE KNOW IF THIS BUS GOES TO WAIKIKI BEACH? Sheesh, Island hospitaliy my ass.

Local: Eh brah. You ttalkin' ta me, brah? You wanna beef?

Tourist: I just want to know if this bus goes to Waikiki...

Local: Oh, an I'm gonna be your tour guide, right, brah? I gots nutting better ta do all day 'cept show you which bus goes where, brah. Gimme $5 and I'll tell you.

Tourist: I just want to know how to get to Waikiki.

Local: Why don't you walk, fat man? Waikiki is jus' over dere.

Tourist: You are just as fat as me, if not fatter.

Local: Oh now your digging on my Somoan heritage, brah? You really wan' beef. I'm a-gonna get up offa this bench and give you beef, Brah. Just you wait.

Haoli of Hawaii: Wait a moment gentle islander. Tourist, the busses are clearly marked with their destination. Look. There is the Waikiki bus. It's a newer Grumman. The air conditioning should be working. Patient Islander, be calm sir. Have another smoke.

Local: Thank you Haoli of Hawaii.

Stupid meeting

Don't talk about your mom that way!

2013-05-01 10:12:21 AM
She didn't actually abandon babby. She took her to the hospital. She just lied and said she found her, instead of admitting that she formed babby. 21 is a bit old for that - I wouldn't be surprised at all if a 14 year old was unable to admit giving birth. But I have no hate for Mom. She made sure her kid was safe, which is better than a lot of young moms do.

2013-05-01 10:20:05 AM
I tried, I really did try, to abandon the babies. Unfortunately, if they're old enough that you have already (and thoughtlessly, with regard to your unfettered future) taught them their names, their home address and phone number, as well as how to score mom a bottle of hooch from the local convenience store, authorities are less willing to take them.

Actually, if she had just said "I'm leaving this child under the Hawaii safe haven law", she would have been fine.

The only thing they can charge her with is filing a false report.

Even better:  He was our first foster child, and it was only 2 months after we were certified as foster parents.

We hit the friggin' lottery.

We became foster parents because the distaffbopper went into *VERY* premature menopause (mid 20's), and our health insurance wouldn't cover the fertility drugs and IVF treatments.

Although, if you do that in Hawaii, make sure you don't make up a sorry about finding the baby on the beach.

I'm with you on this.  She obviously didn't think she could care for it, but she wasn't some kind of monster who left the baby to die somewhere.  Drop the charges, put the baby up for adoption and let life go on for both of them.

I feel the same here.  Sounds like she was trying to ensure her anonymity, she just went about it stupidly.  That doesn't mean she should be punished, because it might discourage others from dropping their baby off.

Yeah, I know. I mean, emotionally unable to admit, of give the appearance of, having given birth. I'd expect that from a kid. I'm more surprised that at her age she couldn't admit it, unless there are developmental delays. I personally think they should give her a pass for the false report - at least she did get the baby to the hospital. I wouldn't want any other girls frightened away from doing so.

Or, the kid will grow up to be a nightmare of a human being who tortures you daily with his whining, bad habits and lack of responsibility, not to mention his constant drain on your emotions and finances. And then one day, after you've literally spent his entire lifetime doing nothing but care for him, he might announce he wants to find his real birth mother. When he tracks her down and finds her sucking cock in some back alley to score enough meth to get her through another day of regret and worsening physical and emotional pain, he'll insist she come live with you as well, thereby doubling your burden. They'll slowly siphon off what belongings and what life you have left until you're no longer any use to them. They'll abandon you in an alley, leaving you to spend your last few years of life sucking cock just so you can survive on the protein from the man milk.

/I've never actually heard of that happening to anyone but somewhere in some universe, it has
//and why does it seem I'm obsessed with back alley blowjobs?
