I wanted to do some more research on that physics stuff TFA was talking about.

So I went on the internet and I found THIS:

I also found this, which is a brief explanation on how psychology, physics and American Armoured Wankerball football work well together. This is from the same guy that posted the P=/=mv video in TFA, and he has a bunch of other cool stuff on his channel.

*rolls up sleeves* Oh I think we can disprove that one.

Photography is becoming cool again, since everyone has a camera phone and likes to use Instagram and other photo sharing sites. Teenagers especially love taking pictures. Instagram and Tumblr are bigger than Facebook among teenagers. Then again, they are narcissistic and mostly take photos of themselves.

On the other hand, it does encourage the publication of lists as actual articles.

This reminds me that I need to get off my ass and start the physics youtube vidoes I've been planning on doing.

My tutoring students tell me I'm pretty good at crafting analogies that make waaaay more sense to them than their teacher...

I'm following the trend of not clicking on Cracked links.

2013-04-30 04:24:51 PM
Hey look a cracked article. I bet if I click it this list of four things (which I can tell by the URL) will be needlessly split up into two separate pages to farm ad revenue

I think the best thing about the internet is that I can live my life only looking at sites that affirm my own narrow views without ever having to feel they are being challenged.

#4 and #1 I can agree with.  #3's a "maybe" w/ a YMMV attached to it and #2 is a "not really".

Since I've been on the Internet I've learned that everyone is smarter than everyone else.....

Get yourself a decent camera.  Trust me on this.

Also, if your nose is itchy, deal with it *before* you start recording.

"Granted, there's a lot of negativity in forums and comment sections, but it's outweighed, or at the very least equalized, by the overwhelming philanthropy and selflessness everywhere else."

I lol'ed.

I thought the single, most important trend that the Internet created was making porn free.

Heh, some buddies and I set that as the background for a freinds iPhone when he left it unguarded.  Starnge thing was we were looking for brony images and that popped up on page 1.

A four-item list and you asses still couldn't put it on a single page?

Confirmation bias exists in other places (Fox v. MSNBC, Church v. Atheist, etc.)

What's nice about the internet is you can ask for:

It's Cracked, doesn't matter if a list has one or one thousand items, it'll be two pages.

But not a slideshow

2013-04-30 06:36:13 PM
Linking to poorly written two-page listicles is one of them?

NOPE

Jesus Alberta Christo, Cracked is the worst site in the universe.  I'm officially done.

4 items isn't even a real list.  You assholes.

2013-04-30 08:51:13 PM
It was actually a pretty decent article. Probably could have figured out more than four items, though.

2013-04-30 08:58:06 PM
Four things is all the author could come up with?  Was the article deadline only four minutes?

#5 free porn

Well, I think it will hasten the end of the abomination that is human civilization - and that's a good thing.

2013-04-30 09:26:00 PM
Actually a decent article with alot of content. Cracked has a template and they stuck to it. It's predictable. And unlike, say, Buzzfeed which just hoovers a bunch of pictures and has such deep philosophical dialouge like "and this too!", they have actual copy in their discussions.

Agreed.  Standing up is much easier than scrunching down in your seat and accentuating your neck jowls.

Buzzfeed has real articles with words and shiat and no pictures of cats in them, but nobody farking reads them.

good grief. 'Cracked' began as yokel humor publication that competed with MAD Magazine. y'all are expecting a little too much sophistication.

ask your Mom. Spoiler Alert: she'll show you published pics of herself you never wanted to see.

The usage of "you" and "we" was pretty annoying.
All of those things are from the actions of a few, then spread around just like any other information.

"We" make informative youtube videos.  "You" solved the rape case.
In reality, the typical "you" is on facebook or sites like Fark doing jack shiat, just like they did before the internet.
