No.

It's been a scandal, but not a scandal of any real significance.

Like finding out that a city councilman ran over a stop sign trying to swerve out of the way of a family of ducks crossing the road.

I believe the author was using that word to illustrate the hyperbole engaged in by those who think this is some grand conspiracy.

For some people it's easier to just ignore things than to actually try to comprehend them.

Fox will immediately become silent about Benghazi the moment it comes to light that Republicans provided the killers with floor plans, weapons, times and locations in order to orchestrate a terrorist attack as an October Surprise right before the election.

Nah, they'll just start yelling and screaming about how the Democrats didn't stop them and this is proof the Dems are soft on national security.

Yes, the Republicans' insistence on beating this dead horse has become scandalous.

I read an interesting article the other day that basically said a person's voting patterns tend to be set early in life and they rarely deviate once they are established. The crux of the matter is that if you came of age during a successful administration of one stripe or a wildly unsuccessful administration of another you would vote for/against that party your entire life. Barring massive re-alignment of course.

Why is that germane? Well, because when I was a 16 year old kid, Bill Clinton was in charge. It was a great time to be a teenager. Gas was cheap, if you could code you make SICK money (especially for a high school kid) and girls were in that sweet spot between slutty and clean. They could be talked into giving it up, but not by just any chump. Then Bush came along, and guess what? Failure. Just one long string of bad policy decisions after another. Plus a pointless war. And the worst terrorist attack on American soil since the invention of America. Then Obama came, and suddenly there's less failure. But the whole time there's been this less failure, there's been this insane group of people called Republicans just apparently doing everything they can to f*ck it all up. And they're doggedly nuts, you know? I mean, not just a little crazy, they're crazy-uncle-sitting-in-his-basement,-polishing-his-gun-fetishi sticly-and-talking-about-how-the-guy-at-the-7-11-is-poisoning-his-ciga rettes crazy.

So I got a triple whammy. I got a successful Democratic administration. A spectacular failure Republican administration. A moderately successful Democratic administration and an INSANE Republican opposition. Okay, a quadruple whammy.

At this point, it would take a literal act of a God I don't believe to make me ever consider voting Republican. They don't exist as a reasonable opposition or even a source of opinions worth considering so much as they do a big fat f*cking joke that we could get on with the business of our lives if a bunch of people would just stop telling.

FOX news also says that W will never desert Ken Lay and that Enron stock is a bargain. Oh and gold.

MacWizard: Yes, the Republicans' insistence on beating this dead horse has become scandalous.

Having a dead horse to beat keeps All Republicans from beating their wives and children, like the bible tells them to do.

Heh. What am i saying? All Republicans beat their wives and children no matter how many other targets of opportunity exist.

The thing is, the death of an ambassador and the destruction of a consulate really should merit an investigation and changes to security.  But all we get from Fox, etc. is "DID OBAMA HIRE BENGHAZI AL QAEDA ASSASSINS WITH THE WHITE HOUSE CREDIT CARD?"

And yes, it's totally true that he's still better than Romney or McCain.

I think what they are saying is: Obama is bad, Benghazi is also bad. Therefore, Obama is Benghazi and is double bad.

I just wanted to report that over in Freeperland their numbers are way, way down. A good Benghazi post barely gets 20 derps now.

Actually I realized shortly afterwards that may have been the case and read TFA. However, I don't usually waste my time with hyperbole, or people who use words like "goon" or "ilk".

But, yeah you're right.

As opposed to the 99% of Farkville that say no matter what, Obama is double plus good. Your statement is blackwhite duckspeak.

Not really. Still got your genitals in a twist about Watergate or is Nixon off the hook yet? Iran-Contra? The blue dress? Glad to see that blaming people for their political misdeeds is over now. What are we going to do with all of this free time?

Fartbongo didn't say "terrorism" fast enough. This is clearly on par with Watergate.

Tyrone Woods, Sean Smith, Chris Stephens and Glen Doherty never made any phone calls saying "Please stop the Benghazites from killing me."  Conservatives are getting pretty loose with the facts I think.

Oh it been a big scandal and you know it. I have yet to hear why congress has not explained why they massively cut defense spending on Embassies from the State Department budget that directly resulted in the Benghazi attack response being botched. Why congresspeople, why?!?
