Well, when he isn't on about race or gays he can say some sensible things.

I wonder what he did to finally piss MSNBC off enough to can his ass.

How bad are Pat Buchanan's opinions? Yahoo's the only one paying money for them.

Agreed.  Annoyingly, he's actually got a point in this case, although you know what they say about broken clocks.

Isn't the correct term "Obameconomy"?

I would consider the economy good if it put people like Pat Buchanan out of work.

Pat Buchanan is a white supremacist. He's not a "dog whistle" racist, he's a straight up in your face KKK racist.

To me that is the best kind of racist, and honest one.

Yahoo is so desperate they are embracing the derp side. They've added a number of right wing talking heads recently. They are going for the newscorp model in the hopes it can save them from irrelevance.

But yahoo is a hugely relevant Internet community. Surely if the cons post their blistering insight and snide/smug comments there, all those hip Internet liberals will see the error of their ways, join a (Prostetant!) church, have white babies, and vote for whoever sucks Reagan's decomposing cock the hardesssssssst.

The stupidest people on earth have all congregated to Yahoo comments. The echo chambers on the right wing sites and AM radio are getting too boring for them. Most of the morons that post there think Yahoo is a left wing site, so they feel naughty posting derp to all the libtards. It's exciting!

The future of internet news is starting to lean right wing. It's simple business. Libtards are out with their friends having fun instead of sitting at home shining their AR-15 and posting conspiracy theories about how Obama's farts are killing children's birth certificates in Benghazi. Most libtards also have enough brains to use an ad blocker and leave the house once in a while.

2013-04-30 09:42:43 AM
Remember the good ol' days, when we could use our military to overthrow a government/dictator we demonized, then the people would rally around their liberation, institute a democratic form of government and live happily ever after?

Thanks a lot, Obama.

Unlike our friend Pat, I have never seen any war I like no matter who the president is.

But, but, but... I thought the repubs want Obama to invade Syria. Isn't that what Lindsay Graham and John McCain were pushing last Sunday? It's almost as though whatever he does they're opposed to it... as though they're not really interested in what's best for the country, only in scoring political points...

Yeah, I once read a passionate "not our business" anti-Iraq-war editorial without first reading who had penned it only to se his name at the end. I almost did a spit take.

He is, or was, a frequent contributor to www.antiwar.com . I haven't been on that site for a while. It was founded by people opposed to our intervention in the Balkans, and they opposed the Iraq conflict as well.

I've never understood how Buchanan can say something profoundly intelligent and in the same sentence chain a retard block to his ankle and sink the whole column in a river. I mean, I want to root for the guy as a smarter conservative who makes me think about my own beliefs. The he...sigh, then he just pulls a Pat Buchanan.

Yahoo isn't hiring conservative writers like Pat Buchanan per se. It's reposting content from certain partnered web sites under the Yahoo banner, which is how op eds from The Blaze started showing up there.

The clue is in the byline (FTA):

By Pat Buchanan | Pat Buchanan -  10 hrs ago

That second "Pat Buchanan?" That's not a typo. That means it's really from Buchanan.org, word for word. (New window.)

I haven't bothered to look into whether Yahoo's doing the same for liberal bloggers, indicating an outright political affiliation, but it doesn't change the fact that their new blog sucks.

So much this.  He is an excellent, smart writer.  Or, better put- he can be.

I was impressed by a lot of his stuff back in the day.

Same with George Will.  He's been going down the same path.

Its sad.  I still have respect for Will, but its waining.

Agree with the George Will sentiment. I think these guys are seeing themselves as the dying old guard being replaced by younger, louder, and dumber commentators. Buchanan has always had a mean streak in him, but seeing Will slide into derpistan was unexpected. I guess if you want to stay relevant you have to give the public what it wants, and today's conservatives (as a general rule) want red meat, not analysis and nuanced argument. There's a reason Fox is #1 in ratings.

2013-04-30 04:24:44 PM
It's not the "Obama economy", it's the US economy. It bottomed out under Bush, why are we still blaming the guy who came in later and has managed to at least get it going back up?

Oh, wait, he's black...I forgot.

Idiots.

Yahoos are the only people who care about his opinions.

Let me know if he starts writing for Mother Jones.
