Good luck to Lynch, I doubt he'll win but I hope it's a close one at least. He seems far more likable than Markey.

As for the Republicans, good luck in your race to be losers

Evelyone loves an election, and with a little Viagla, you can have it any time you want.

They're expecting less than 1 in 5 MA voters to actually vote today... Sad.

Anyone one else sick of listening to Gabriel Gomez start every answer with, "When I was out on a mission..."?

Yes, you were a Navy SEAL... Good for you. Still not going to vote for you.

dude, this is the 5th election we've had (counting the 2012 primary) in 3 years,

I'm kinda hoping that Winslow pulls a win from behind. That way in case Moakley chokes, I won't absolutely hate the guy he lost to

FTA: On the Republican side, the candidates have highlighted their experience to weigh in on what to do with the captured suspect. Sullivan - formerly a U.S. attorney and the acting director of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives - has called for revoking Dzhokhar Tsarnaev's citizenship. Gomez, a former Navy SEAL who finished the marathon a few minutes before the bombings, has said he should not have been read his Miranda rights. The third Republican candidate, Dan Winslow, is a former judge who is trailing in the polls.
"I didn't need to be a lawyer or a career politician to come to the conclusion right away that we need to hold this person as an enemy combatant," said Gomez.

Usually MA conservatives aren't insane...Constitution shmostitution

This election got screwed - the Marathon bombing and then the weather finally turning nice pushed this election so far out of people's minds.

Here's the best overview of this election.

It will be Markey Mark.

Lynch's voting record is a joke.  Markey has a 10% lead in recent polls though, so he should win.  He's not great but I'd greatly prefer him to Lynch.

I'm definitely voting today because I know the krazy results special elections can lead to.  In the town I grew up in, the mayoral primary one year got completely farked due to no turnout.  Somehow this bumbling idiot ended up winning the Democratic primary, and by default, the election.... until the guy he beat ended up running as a write-in in the general, and ended up winning the general.  It was beautiful, but it hardly ever happens.

I am from a Lynch district.  The guy is kind of an assclown.

I've really come to distrust anyone who touts themselves as a "Working Class hero"... It's usually just advertising speak for "Provincial Dumbass".

Yeah, I hear you... Sick of the constant campaigning myself, but I'll vote any chance I get. Plus, being unenrolled, you get to choose which party's ballot you want to vote on.

He's being compared to Scott Brown in some circles as well as a conservative democrat, which doesn't really sit well with me.

THANK YOU.  I am from a Markey district and am definitely not voting for him just because of that.  I made sure to look up the differences in their records and by god, Lynch is an assclown.

You're a funny guy Sully, I like you... that's why I'm going to kill you last.

i also didn't like the way lynch treated the debates. within 2 minutes he's trying to score points on markey for terrorism, exploiting the bombings to my eyes. i thought that was innapropriate point scoring when we still know nearly nothing about the motivations and connections of the bombers.

There isn't a single one of these people that I want representing me. I wrote in David Ortiz.

Not happy with a few of his votes over the years, but voted Markey to keep Lynch out.

Saw a vehicle with RI plates and a vote Markey stiker the other day...  Though it was fitting..

/Markey might be a bag of dog shait..    but those that will vote for him are so much worse.

No, wasting my vote would be to vote for a Republican or one of the Democrats I cannot stomach.

I will never cast a ballot for someone who voted yes on the Iraq War Resolution. As lines in the sand go, I don't think that one's a stretch.

Actually, I was going for the "This is our f*cking city" reference, but the Yankees fan thing works too.

You sound like that douchebag who told my mom to "go shopping in her own state" because we lived closer to a grocery store in MA even though our address was in RI.

Globe declaring both Markey and Gomez as the winners tonight.

Could be Tiverton, too... Shaw's and Stop and Shop are just over the border in Fall River.

Cumberland.  Fark, half of RI towns are right on the border of MA.  We don't live there anymore though.  I currently live in MA (thus voting for Markey), parents are out of New England now.

There's, surprisingly, a lot of South Coast/ RI farkers about. We're like a gang now... : )

Markey vs. Gomez... Guess we get another few weeks of Gomez constantly reminding us he was a SEAL.

"I'm pretty much going to do what the GOP tells me to do, but look how cool I am... Huh? Makes ya wanna vote for me, doesn't it?"

North Shore area.  It's where I grew up for my early childhood, then the family moved to RI.
