Liqueurs...God. I got a hangover just reading the headline. Dry vodka martini for me, thanks.

I hope it's better than Rogue's bacon maple beer.  That stuff tasted like charcoal with sugar.

While I see nothing wrong with breakfast boozing, the last thing I'd want at 9 AM is a cloyingly sweet liqueur.

Then again, that holds true for any other hour of the day as well.

Breakfast boozing? Awk! I must be getting old.

I liked it. I wouldn't say it was the best novelty beer I've had, but I could definitely taste the bacon, maple, and doughnut. I probably would have preferred maple bacon or maple doughnut instead of all three.

I have a feeling you (and me) are not the target demographic for these.  I know I'm too old and male for these.  Might as well sell each one with a boxed DVD set of "Sex in the City" or gift card to DSW.

It's always 5 o'clock somewhere.

And with these liqueurs, it doesn't matter if that 5:00 is AM or PM.

I wanted so badly to like it, but it just tasted awful to me.

I visited a distillery that makes apple pie vodka, strawberry vodka and peach vodka. They were waaay too sweet for me. Their sweet tea vodka is really good though.

Tasted baconnish and utterly salty to me with a light, syrupy feel and enough sweetness to hint at maple. Was not deplorable, but by no means would I feel the need to drink this again.

They have to cater to this new generation of sweet tooth pussies that don't know how to drink. You have to mix some god damned cocktail that tastes like fruit loops or jolly ranchers so they can go off on how farked up their getting "and you can't even tell there's alcohol in it!!"
farking pussies.

Yeah I know we aren't. It just brought back memories of the worst (and pretty much only) hangovers I've ever had were anything with a lot of sugar like those liqueurs or when I was a real newbie, whenever I mixed liquor with beer.

Exactly. Glass -> rocks -> gin -> two green olives -> drink. Rinse. Repeat.

I tried some of the Crown Royal Maple.  Every time I drank it I wanted pancakes.

Me too.  Several years ago I was riding on the DC Metro to a United game and overheard some high school kids (very loudly) talking about a party.  One said "If you mix beer and juice, it tastes just like a wine cooler!".  I don't remember much, but I do recall throwing up in my mouth a little.

Beer and tomato juice is okay...

Isn't this why we have mixed drinks? I'm sure there's a talented bartender that can come up with similar flavored drinks using existing booze that's not artificially flavored.

Saw this in the store the other day.  The clerk and I agreed that it had MASSIVE HANGOVER written all over it ;)
