Hoooooly shiat this is the best thing I've seen all week. Or month.

Meh, It was good, maybe even cool.
But I haven't watched the show.

If you'd seen the show you would be on the floor in awe. You should definitely check out the show. It's a bit rough for the first four episodes or so, and then it turns into the funniest comedy on network tv.

Well, Don't Trust the B was better but now... yeah... New Girl takes it.

Ohhhh goddammitsomuch. I'm not caught up yet! Soo many spoilers!!

I watched a few when my gf had it on. Zoey dachenel (or whatever) is the least funny part of the show, and even she gets a few chuckles.

The roommates on the other hand steal the show from her so badly it should be considered grand larceny. Pretty solid show for network TV.

I don't trust that girl. I heard she was behind the Boston marathon bombing.

Max Greenfield and Jake Johnson are just gold together.  Lamorne Morris....I'm not convinced they quite have a handle on him just yet in the writers room.  Bringing in Brenda Song to play off of him is working nicely though.

That was pretty good, may have to get back to this show, or at least watch the finale.

As much as I love Happy Endings, I'd really like to see the alternate universe where it got canceled after season two and Damon Wayans, Jr. stayed on New Girl as Coach.  Not that Lamorne Morris is bad just, like you said, the writers haven't really figured him out yet.

Not really spoilery. The biggest thing in this song was revealed in a Fox teaser for fark's sake. Every bit in this song was taken in the span of 2 or 3 episodes I think.

It's ridiculous how much I love this show. With "Community" missing it's voice this season (though a few of the most recent episodes have been much better), "New Girl" has easily become my favorite TV comedy.

Max Greenfield is awesome. He somehow manages to make Schmidt an incredibly lovable douchebag. I have a friend who has the same sort of personality, and even has the same backstory of previously being heavy and then dropping the weight. Somehow, he makes the douchey personality work.

The one down side: Now my roommate says "pish" instead of "piss"

I watched season 1 and the first few episodes of this season but had to stop because I hate the Schmidt character so much. Get rid of him and the show would be right up there with my favorites.

I was right there with you during the first season.  Schmidt was hands down, my least favorite part of the show.  However, (Spoiler alert!) after him and Cece got together, and then she dumped him, the character has definitely toned it down quite a bit.  It sort of humanized him to a point, and he's not this larger than life, unrealistic douche anymore.  He's still annoying, but I don't loathe him anymore.

I guess, but honestly I think they are figuring out what works for him.  The running joke about how bad he is at pranks/practical jokes has been downright hilarious.

A friend once told me that Zooey Deschannel was a talented version of Katy Perry (lookalikes and all).

I watched an episode of New Girl and some of her songs on youtube.

Then I grabbed a bat and bludgeoned that old friend to death.

Sounded like melodysheep.

I pretty much only watched that so I could make fun of it, but it wasn't half bad.  Bordered on funny at parts.

2013-04-30 01:30:10 PM
Count me among those who thought Deschanel was too irritating to watch -- it was the supporting cast that sold the show, many times over.  Now, strangely, I really like her.  Her normalness is able to come out since Nick and Schmidt are so goofy/nutso.  Hope Winston continues to grow.

2013-04-30 01:59:57 PM
I liked the show at first, and when I catch it now it is occasionally hilarious, but I just got so tired of Zoey Deschanel's quirky-geek-girl shtick. I like the rest of the cast pretty well, but not enough apparently.

Huh?  I don't get it.

I like the show, but I did not get that video at all.  Is it a hipster thing?  Autotune sucks, so that's makes it cool?

I also did not think any of the autotune news videos were funny.

I stopped about the same time you did, I think. But not because of Schmidt, necessarily. Though his breakup with Cece in the finale was just beyond stupid.

There's been at least one episode that showed CeCe in a bikini and lingerie and holy fark does she have a killer body.

You gotta be fricking kidding me....

I stopped watching the show after each show's story line kept revolving around "the kiss".

Each and every fricking show.

And now the video is about the kiss?

How about you kiss my ass, Zooey.

You're the fricking producer; go produce some new fricking material.  Pronto.

A GIS for "Hannah Simone in a bikini" is VERY disappointing. *grumble-grumble*

Relatively good for a sitcom.  The worst part for me is how Nick's dialog these days seems like he's trying to be a male version of Jess.

I got a Fox gift box a couple of months ago from a contest and one of the promo items was a Douche Jar.  Actual glass jar, too.  I use it for spare change.  (Oddly, among other things there was also a Glee snuggie and a Bones hammock.)
