F*ck. Hopefully it's from a clerk or something.

Wild Speculation time: maybe it's from the mother.

I think that would help explain how the younger brother would agree to participate.

That's what I was thinking

Well don't be a cock, how DO they work? I assumed the same thing, probably a farking shin bone or two in the bomb parts too...if you have knowledge then share after you tsk tsk, that's the price of the tsk tsk.

Are you sure? I'm not going to pretend to be an expert on anything, but I'm thinking that when a bomb is placed at foot level in a large group of people within an enclosed corridor, there's a good possibility that some DNA of the victims may end up on the device. You know, DNA being capable of dropping anywhere and blood carrying it and whatnot.

I would think that unless there was an implosive effect afterwards, this wouldn't be the case or even if the implosive effect isn't enough to draw back in spatter that's already heading the opposite direction. From watching the explosions, there didn't seem to be much (That's what causes the mushroom cloud look, guys, implosion from the vacuum bubble created when the blast shoves away all the surrounding air collapses and sucks up air around the blast zone and draws it up in a near symmetrical cylinder.) of that going on... but then the crowd obscuring the view and camera angles weren't the best.

//sad day... but I learned some physics that day.

A woman's DNA on a pressure cooker?
That's just crazy talk.

2013-04-29 08:59:42 PM
Hang on.  I think I have this case cracked.  There is no female accomplice.  No, its more sinister than that.

One of the Tsarnaev brothers....IS A HERMAPHRODITE!

2013-04-29 08:59:51 PM
Tamerlan probably bought the pressure cooker as a gift for his wife and she got insulted and threw it at him, so he figured "fine - I show American beetch pressure cook Dagestani style".

Parts of the pressure cooker ended up more than 50 feet away.  It's possible some human debris got launched just as far, or that the pressure cooker took some DNA with it during the explosion.

It certainly would be in realm of the possible for a victim's DNA to be on the bomb.

There's about to be a Wal-Mart clerk getting a 3am visit from SWAT.

2013-04-29 09:20:25 PM
I'm not going to go into details of how the physics of an explosion works, but I can link to some detailed articles.

And it's not like the FBI found a piece embedded into someone's shin and called their boss saying 'We found some DNA that's not from the brothers, chief!'. They've ruled out that it was from victims already, which is why they are publishing this information, meaning they most likely found it at ground zero on the remnants of the bomb, probably embedded in the pavement.

Whatever happened to terrorism being a political act where the perps rushed to claim credit and used the publicity to air grievances?

2013-04-29 09:45:32 PM
The question you need to ask is "Why does the public know this?"

2013-04-29 09:48:29 PM
I guess it did go through enough women when it exploded.

2013-04-29 09:49:19 PM
Let's use the DNA fragment to clone her, then ask the clone if she was an accomplice. Because that's how it works, right?

FTA:
Earlier Monday, FBI agents went to a Rhode Island home to collect a DNA sample from Katherine Russell Tsarnaeva, the widow of Tamerlan Tsarnaev, who died in a shootout with police April 19

Is it just me, or is this sentence poorly constructed? It seems that it could be read to imply that his wife died in a shootout....

Oh and look, USA today has helpfully included a picture of Katherine Tsarnaeva. Totally just a coincidence and not trying to suggest anything... wink, wink nudge, nudge.

Didn't they learn anything from NYPost?

2013-04-29 09:53:02 PM
Good luck proving anything with that.

First of all, they can only compare DNA with people they have on file. If it's his wife/mom/kid, it could easily have been incidentally transferred without helping them build it at all. Not sure what size of pressure cooker was used, but some maybe could be used as kitchen appliances. Watch it be the older brother's 3 year old.

They need to provide the DNA sequence to all the news outlets to see if anybody recognizes someone's DNA.  In the meantime, all the online forums can conjecture about the DNA and single out somebody with a similar X chromosome that happens to be wearing the same set of genes.

She is clearly a mercenary formerly of Spetsnaz, that would be a waste of her martial arts and extreme sex potential. We raise four clones of her in three years using Clonex growth acceleration technology and train them according to the powers imparted from the four major elements: Sex, Action, Dies, and Not Too Slutty.
