FTA: "Weak corporate top-line growth is likely to spell an equally troubled bottom line for the 11.7 million unemployed."

Because strong corporate top-line growth has done  wonders for the bottom line unemployed, and increasing employee compensation, and closing tax loopholes.

Let me be the first to make the statement that this is the most stupidest of the headlines and the writer of this headline should have the traumatic experience for the result of this.  And this is coming from the individual who does the typing as though the seventeen head injuries already suffered has just been made eighteen.

If Fartbongo doesn't care about America enough to be Presidentin' 24x7 then perhaps he should give the job to someone who does.

WTF is this guy's problem anyway? I heard yesterday that he took 2 15 minute breaks to take a dump, while our economy continues to suck.

Didn't the S&P just set another record today?

Or is this is going to be another one of those weeks where the stock market is a poor economic indicator?

Riiiight.  Because businesses hire like crazy when there is strong  corporate top-line growth.  When it's weak they have an excuse.  When it's strong they claim "uncertainty."  And people still believe the excuses.

I'm sure the biggest federal budget tightening in more than 60 years is going to wonders for the job outlook.

No.

Remember what happened the last time a President just sat down for a few minutes to read a book?

A mere 38 percent of the 271 S&P 500 companies that had reported through Friday topped revenue estimates

...estimates set by Wall Street asshats.

"We expected your company to post 7% profits this year! YOU FAILED TO MEET OUR ESTIMATES, THEREFORE, YOUR COMPANY HAS FAILED."

"But what if your estimates just sucked balls?"

"SILENCE! DO NOT QUESTION OUR SUPREME ESTIMATING POWERS!"

I'm serious.  We've had rough going for many years and many presidential administrations from both parties.  And every time a president plays golf, or takes a vacation, or tells some jokes at the Correspondents' dinner, the president's party has nothing to say, while the opposition snipes at the president "yukking it up in the midst of crisis."

Until you criticize your own party's president equally, your argument is invalid.

Or how about giving someone credit for noticing how bad it looks? Remember in 03 when W gave up golf because of all the bad press it generated?

Ronald Goddamn Reagan had a communist comedian perform during the cold war.  Kids were being taught to hid under their desks from nuclear bombs while Reagan is yucking it up in luxury.

Just a couple hundred more votes on abortion and Obamacare and the JOBS!  JOBS!  JOBS!! Republican Congress will get right on solving this problem.

Do you realize that Obama takes 1-2 dumps every day?  That's 10-20 minutes per day that he is not fixing the economy.   He needs to fix the economy.  Why does he not fix it?  Fix it.

2013-04-29 03:19:58 PM
Obama should not eat a single meal, shoot a single basket, or get even a minute of sleep until the economy is fixed, amirite Subby?

How many Big Macs went unserved while subby was submitting this headline? Get back to work.

The author is right. Obama needs to seize control of industry, nationalize all major businesses, and force them to hire people. That'll finally solve this unemployment problem and make conservatives happy, right?

2013-04-29 03:22:51 PM
Well, if only President Obama hadn't been at that dinner all of those people would have jobs.

2013-04-29 03:24:45 PM
Why do they need jobs? They put a guy in office who will take care of them regardless.

Yeah, "gave up."  For a few days.

Not to mention that plenty of people thought he was being an ass...like not playing golf is a big fkn deal.  Must be almost as horrendous as being shot at in Iraq.

He should be hard at work, like the Republicans in Congress.

For example, here's Mitch McConnell tweeting a picture of himself at a bar next to empty-chair Obama. Why? Why the fark not?
