Very nice. I'm not sure that was going in if he missed it, but it was still a great catch.

The best save OF a goalie was that guy who stuck his fingers into Malarchuk's neck, so this guy still has a ways to go to beat that.

OK, OK, it was a pretty special save.

I guess it's a "save".  The puck would have missed anyways.  The angle was far too shallow

The only team that would warrant a thread for a regular season game is the Red Wings. All others are irrelevant.

Not a hockey fan but that was cool.

BTW, I've seen pro tennis players return shots like that more times than I can count. Yeah, you can say 'apples and oranges' but...

I don't know who I'm rooting for - if Boston wins, the Pens play the Senators.  If the Senators win, the Pens play the Islanders.  Both are pretty tough right now, but I was hoping to see Winnipeg sneak their way in, though.  Oh, well.

Go someone.

I want the Pens Islanders series. There is no greater feeling in the first round than taking out a team in your own division

Was this subby's first hockey game?  It was a lucky save, and looked cool.  I guess it was the best I've seen, today.  There have been plenty of amazing saves in the NHL this year alone, much less ever.

At first view, I was going to leave a strongly worded post, ala UN style for you subby, but after seeing the replay in slow motion, I have to admit that was pretty sweet...not sure if the best ever, but definitely worth consideration.

Thanks for sharing subby.

The bad news is, his life's ambition right now is to play down the street for the Maple Leafs.  So he kinda just peaked right there.

I like #25 for the offensive team.  Goalie gloves the puck and he has no idea what just happened.

Like I said, apples and oranges. Plus, the goalie just had to STOP the puck, not return it to his opponent.

It was going wide

So while it was spectacular, he also was insanely lucky not to knock it into his own net.

That's way off from the direction of travel of the puck.
