They used to be nice work boots, but then they "improved" them, so I'm not a fan any more.

Who still uses Vaseline?

Raises hand. It's good for keeping hair dye off your face when home dying and it's good for my kid's diaper rash.

And packing needle bearings when rebuilding transmissions.

And as a general lubricant for hinges, and for fixing toilet leaks around a slightly wonky flush valve, and for keeping paint off tiny trim pieces, and for keeping battery terminals from corroding, and to fix sticking windows and doors... I keep a jar of the stuff in my toolbox.

Not to mention its other uses:

DoctorCal: So, if the project sets off a massive quake in Bend- say greater than 8.5 or so, there might be millions of dollars of improvement?

Dollars inimprovements

It did over a million dollars in improvements in my area.. Tens of thousands of improvements reported

a few hundred million in improvements.

Bzzt, sorry, we were looking for "hundreds of dollars inimprovements."

You know, some clichés/memes are like Emma Watson/Dwayne Johnson meme. You know the set up, you know the punchline, but god damn if you don't laugh every single damn time.
