Top Geezer: And they gave them a couple drink tickets each for their effort.

I think they've finally made up with Mick in recent years, and I'd bet he's gotten some money off the Exiles box, etc.

YoOjo: It's called rehearsals, they seem to have done this a fair bit, they don't need to charge the $20 but do anyway because Mick likes money.
Mick really likes money.

No, they charge $500/ticket for their normal shows because Jagger loves money.  They play these cheap-ticket club shows because Keith loves playing and still loves their fans.

He was, after all, a Business major.

Anonymous Bosch: Shame it wasn't a free show. Last one of those they did was a killer.

What, you mean Altamont?

JK8Fan: When are they gonna show some appreciation and stop screwing all the ticket buyers for the rest of their shows? How about a stadium show with $20 tix?

Because they probably take the view that they are providing good value for the money and not that they "owe" the fans something for anything.

Now shut up and buy a CD that you'll listen to once and then never listen to again before you pay out the ass to hear the "hits" from 40 years ago live in concert from a seat a half a mile from the stage.
