(NBA)   Nothing memorable here, just your typical 4 hour, 142-134 triple overtime NBA first round playoff game. Bonus: Nate Robinson scores 23 points in the 4th quarter   (nba.com) divider line 28

What was not awsome was the pacers deficating on the court in Atlanta

One thing you can guarantee about a playoff series involving the Bulls is that it's not going to be boring.

I like how game 3 was a 79-76 defensive struggle and this one they just said "aw fark it."

That's great.

The NBA is still the worst playoffs in sports.

Ugh. I can't believe I just pulled a "who cares" in a sports thread. Sorry. I blame it on "exhaustion."

Is that really the perception? Just wondering because the NBA has my favorite post season. Helps that there's a team in town too.

Probably this year more so than normal just for the seeming inevitability of Miami running away with the title. Then there's the inevitable referee fark ups and favoritism.

/Seriously, the NBA should just have the top 8 teams in the league in the playoffs
//The quality of play is just poor in general
/And after watching March Madness, the future isn't looking bright.

i agree with you and your team is my back up team if mine gets bounced (haha, i'm just fearfully waiting for the next injury...if i had to pick i would hope for the coach).  plus, we gave you Marc Gasol (not gave, but that trade looks pretty good for both sides now.  someone should ask Minnesota how Al Jefferson is working out for them...sorry, pet peeve). go Marc and Z-Bo! please make sure the clippers do not go farther than the Lakers.  thanks!

there are still some teams that could beat them.  the Spurs, as much as i "hate" them, i respect the hell out of the whole franchise.  i thought that the Pacers or Nuggets could have a chance...that looks like a poor choice. maybe NY?...maybe?! i'm hoping Durant just goes bonkers and wins it all and the Thunder trade Westbrook to the Lakers for Goudelock (MVP!!)...still find it funny that D'Antoni left the suns because they wanted to pair him with Thibodeau...

The only thing I'm bothering to watch is whether the Heat lose a game. And the Lakers/Celtics collapses.

Seriously, what is with the "call timeout, get the ball 20 feet from your opponent's basket"? That has to be dumbest rule in sports. It'd be like if you kicked a field goal in football to take the lead, the other team gets the ball on your 35 to try a kick of their own. It's insanity.

2013-04-28 10:20:11 AM
Gee, I'm so happy the Celtics got rid of Nate Robinson, while the Celts are about to get swept.

Good job Nate. He was always one of my favorite players.

I lost my shiat when Robinson banked that fading almost-3 at the end of the first overtime, then facepalmed hard when Butler let Johnson get inside to tie it up.

Crazy game. Loved it. Go Bulls!

Career night for Nate - unbelievable performance.  I was iffy on that guy all year because he hasn't met a shot he didn't like but I think it's safe to say he's a HUGE part of why the Bulls are in the playoffs and close to advancing.  And that guy is as tall as I am!  (5' 9")

And D Rose?  Get the fark back on the court.  You don't have to play all out, but at least contribute something! Your whole team is out there playing busted and hurt and you're waiting until you're 110 percent?  fark that, dude - get.the fark.out there.

Too many key injuries this year, really puts a damper on things.

As a former Suns fan (f*ck you, Robert Sarver), I still wonder what sort of blackmail material their management had on Stern to get those titles in the last decade.

Honestly, any of those teams could win a game against the Heat, but not 4 games out of 7. It's just not happening.

ya, the time they suspended Stoudemire, and i think Diaw, was really dumb.  plus Duncan did it a couple post seasons later, and...nothing.

you're probably right about the Heat, but a man can dream (i still believe that the Lakers fire D'Antoni the day after they got swept and hire Phil.  hey, it's not called LaLa land for no reason...)

Oh, he's beyond gone. Either he quits because he's sick of Kobe's shiat or he's canned. But I don't think Phil's coming back because Jerry Buss' son hates him. Otherwise, D'Antoni never gets the job this year.

The last 3 minutes of the 4th quarter through the 3 OTs was the most exciting NBA basketball I've seen in...ever. Had the Heat done this, ESPN would have 8 front page stories about it every day until the next game of the series.

If rose was active they probably would have, but since it doesnt matter in the east because no one is beating the heat its business as usual over at espn... what is it te'obow coverage today?

that said i wonder if the nuggs can choke this all away.

well, so far my prediction is spot on...we got swept...the dream is alive!  glad Pau got a standing O when he left.  Spurs were great though it's hard to tell against the players that were mainly out there.  looked like a Globtrotters game for the most part and the Lakers were the Generals.  good luck SA. now go Grizzlies!

To the people saying D'antoni is gone after this year, Mitch Kupchak disagrees.

Would love to see a return of Phil to the NBA though.
