Good Luck, Coach.

Poor guy. First he has to watch the Ms play every day, now this.

Who cares

Datz terrible.

I hope it isn't colon cancer, so nobody has to tap Datz ass

Whats the sign for that?  Is it finger on nose, right hand on elbow, pat the head?

Did he use the indicator sign before the announcement?  Maybe the announcement just means 'swing away.'

He's the third base coach.  Not too many Ms get within 90' of him.

Dangerous spot to coach apparently. Reds' third base coach Mark Berry is fighting cancer too.

I'll bet they gave him cancer. If not for the steroid era at the turn of the century, the M's have had two ok seasons in their history, the rest of them have sucked. Now he's stuck hearing about how they're building for the future and the future never comes.

Please! He's just using this as an excuse to get out of work.

/wouldn't you if you had to watch the M's 162 times a year
//surprised Glen Hoffmann and Dave Roberts haven't pulled the same stunt

I assume he did it by rubbing each arm from the shoulder to the hand, tugged on one ear, and pointing to the bill of his hat?

The same is true of their 1st base coach, too.

I'm probably going to get cancer at some point. When I do, just wanted to earn you guys that I probably won't be announcing it.

How are we supposed to rally behind you and get off a bunch of phenomenal posting that turns Fark into a bastion of reason and intellect on the web in an inspirational made-for-YouTube story?
