Indeed, and I wish more liberal media members would follow the shining example of Ellen Ratner by being willing to give praise to politicians on the other side of the aisle when they deserve.

He said without a hint of irony.

Boy, modern education has sure deteriorated in the last 50 years.

Oh sure, if you want to get into that whole "Truman desegregating the armed forces" or "Johnson signing civil rights legislation" thing.

No no, Bush did more for blacks then Truman, Johnson, Lincoln, ANY PRESIDENT, even REAGAN.  REAGAN.

Poorlytoldjoke: If just through his administrations work on Aids in Africa,  I would bet that it's close.  I'm liberal as hell,  but he certainly did more for the aids crisis in africa than any other president has.

We helped them over there so we wouldn't have to help them here.

cman: Snapper Carr: Look, everyone gives him credit for what he did with AIDS in Africa. Everyone, even a sanctimonious douchebag like Bono recognized it. But he was not president of an African nation. The damage he caused to the country that elected him its chief executive (and by extension most of the rest of the world) far outweighs the good he did in a single continent on a single issue.

Translation: I, Snapper Car, can never let Bush JR have any sort of victory.

Sort of like the robber deserves credit for the heist; the camera footage and that dyepack exploding shouldn't reduce that gloried moment..

unless you meant a "mission accomplished" sort of victory...

Bush JR was a lot of things (a drunk, a moron, a fake accent guy), but racist wasn't one of them.

Yeah I don't think he was a bad guy, just a guy who was never cut out to be President.

I could see him as Vice President of a paper mill in West Virginia. The sort of boss that would throw great employee barbecues. He missed his calling.

NewsBusters readers know Ellen Ratner as the perilously liberal news analyst typically offering the left-wing views onFox News Watch.

So, basically ...Alan Colmes in a skirt?

Perilously liberal, indeed.

Can we get one of these made for Mr.Bush?

That's not helping poor people, that's keeping them alive so they can continue slaving for rich multinationals.

There was a cost-benefit to everything he did for the underclasses (ie: increase low income home ownership to fuel another financial speculation bubble).

You are hopelessly stupid and by that I mean there is no amount of education or information that could ever help you.

It takes a special kind of insanity to call providing poor people medicine and medical treatment an act of pure malevolence. One of the things I often accuse liberals of is not caring about results, only intentions. In this case, the fact that millions of lives are saved thanks to anti-viral medication becoming available is still viewed in a negative way because Bush did it and clearly his intentions were bad. You are a text book example of a religious extremist where political ideology has replaced religion. Left wing ideology is substituted for the word of god, making everything without exception that isn't 'liberal', somehow evil.

Ishkur is waaaaaay above your weight class. Please continue, the results should be enjoyable.

namatad: But
My point is still not answered, nor do I think the study estimated how many new people were infected because condoms, which used to be available, became unavailable.

An additional point, which is such an amazing lie with numbers, is:
How many people died during the period? Was the death rate still rising? What was the total number of infected?

A) condoms only - X people did not get infected
B) treatment only - Y people didnt die
C) both - Some number greater than Y

Let me try another link

I think you'll find your answers there.
