Ever noticed that a lot of time this sort of derp seems to play on the hope that whoever sees it will be extra outraged because they are too stupid to know a widely known fact that would make the story not nearly as big a deal as they want it to seem?  In the case of this story, I think the NRO is hoping that morons reading this won't know that having a PhD entitles you to use the title "Doctor" even if your PhD isn't in a medical field, and thus they'll think that Jill Biden is a liar.

Similarly, I think a lot of Rush Limbaugh's attack on Sandra Fluke hinged on his listeners not knowing a couple of facts: hormonal birth control pills aren't always used for contraception, and may be used for purely medical reasons, and the dosage on birth control is the same regardless of the amount of sexual activity of the person taking them.  I mention the second one because at several points during Limbaugh's ranting, he seemed to imply that Fluke was such a slutty whore she couldn't afford to buy birth control herself.  Uh, no, Rush.  It's not like Viagra, where you have to take a pill every time you need to get it up for the Dominican boy you just bought.

log_jammin: LookForTheArrow: I dig you're not celebrating it.. but you're also saying we should acknowledge it as an act that weighs against his legacy. I do not agree.

I'm saying it's a fact that the program saved a million lives and that's all I'm saying.

Which might have been two million if the fundies hadn't insisted on jamming their ideology up the asses of the people they were trying to "help". That is the issue here. That is why this act is tainted, because it did not come from a sense of altruism as it should have but with a moral agenda.

If you're going to help me, then help me... but don't insist that I believe in your god or his rules as interpreted by you before you do.

Also conservatives were outraged over supposed free government-funded birth control when the flap was about private insurance.

cman: I never understood why people thought he was racist.

Bush JR was a lot of things (a drunk, a moron, a fake accent guy), but racist wasn't one of them.

I agree.  I think that Bush was pretty prejudiced against people he didn't know personally and he despised poor people.  And it is possible that he equated being black with being poor.  But I never got that he aggressively hated black people because they always (insert stereotype here).

When Kanye West (the future Mr. Kardashian) said "George Bush doesn't care about black people", he should've said "George Bush doesn't care about poor people".

What Kanye should say is, "My wife is the ugliest biatch on TV."

JH3675: While all of this is true, there is a rather large gap between the questions you asked and an answer like "Obviously he sees the poor as slaves and it was worth the money to provide AIDS medication in order to keep the labor pool full for the evil corporations." Never attribute to malice what can be adequately explained by stupidity.

Considering who he had backing his Administration, I would most certainly attribute most of his activities to malice. Okay, him specifically: Cluelessness.... but the power players, definitely malice.

Tumunga: And the butthurt is still strong. Libbies were handed their collective asses in two national elections by a moron. Nine years after the last round, Libtards are still feeling a little stupider than a moron.

It's cute that you still think they were on your side.

It's cute watching the butthurt. You know, after posts and posts of Obama fap material for the FarkLibtard masses in the politics tab, I actually look forward to the Bush bashing posts. To see all the FarkLibtards get off their knees, ears red from where Obama has been pulling on them, and get all red-assed about a moron who made makes them all feel like a bunch of douchenozzles, I weep tears of joy.

SunsetLament: LMAO - Bush is out of office, so now the liberals Farkers are going to pretend they didn't dance around and proudly proclaim him a racist for the past decade.  You guys realize this is the internet, right?  Everything is cached and we have search engines.

/Ah, hell - go ahead and rewrite history.  At least your current revision is right.

So give us some examples since you have the internet. I remember Kanye West saying it but that's about it.

He wasn't a racist. He was a classist. He didn't give a shiat about poor people.

So he went to africa to help the rich africans

Poorlytoldjoke: If just through his administrations work on Aids in Africa,  I would bet that it's close.  I'm liberal as hell,  but he certainly did more for the aids crisis in africa than any other president has.

Does that make up for what he did to the Iraqis?

Skimmed the Kanye West thread. Didn't see many people agreeing with him and it mostly consisted of people laughing at what an ass he is.
