I was going to remark about her working right up to her delivery date, but then I know lots of women that did that.  In her case, though I'm sure it had little to do with the stir craziness that is "nesting."

Yes, because Bangladeshi women have access to birth control, education, and a violent free society.

Uh, no shiat sherlock.

I don't think some people realize it takes a couple weeks for the cord to wither and fall off a newborn.

I hear there's a modest proposal that can help the poor and lower the stupidly high growth rate.

When trapped under a building, I think having panic attack would seem more appropriate.

Not to mention that there is nothing wrong with not cutting the cord right away. Better for the baby to keep that thing attached instead of cutting it with something unsanitary or even biting it.

Somehow I'm imagining these people not tolerating the doubtless feet of crap email in their inbox if they did not have some sort of mail policy in place.

There was a thread about this recently. A mother could just gnaw it off with her teeth.

And have the afterbirth for dessert.

the female body has ways to try to shut that whole thing down.

Just because there are over population, you would rather have her and the baby die? She is probably more productive toward the society than guys who think like you.

Sometimes babies are born premature.  They don't wait exactly forty weeks before they breach.
And given that she lives in Bangladesh, it's doubtful she has many liberties with maternity leave, and wants to save her maternity leave days until the actual birth and after to spend some time with the newborn.

She immediately wrapped it up in a Banana Republic T-shirt. The irony of the brand name was unfortunately lost on her and the baby.
