Cornelius Dribble: In 2007 Dutschke was the Republican candidate for the Mississippi House of Representatives, 16th District. He lost by over 2,000 votes, which raises the question: how bad a politician do you have to be to run as a Republican in Mississippi and lose?

He didn't attract much money and his rants against the Democratic candidate Holland were not understandable. In all seriousness, as alleged, Dutschke attempted to kill President Obama with a biological weapon. It's an assassination attempt and if convicted (Although the Fark Independents will not agree) he needs to spend the rest of his life in prison, just like John Hinckley.

And my stepson still wonders why we wouldn't let him go to the suspects house the other day.  He's friends with the suspect's stepson.  He also got a call from the friend last night asking that he come talk to the FBI this morning.  We said NO!! Of course, we're hearing that he's completely innocent on the ricin case as well as the molestation charges.   I don't personally know the guy, but I don't know if we will want our son going over there anytime soon.

Begoggle: So yeah, he wasn't arrested for the ricin stuff.
Thanks for the troll headline.

TUPELO, Miss. (WTVA) - Tupelo's police chief said Everett Dutschke is under arrest in connection wth the ricin letters sent to President Obama, U.S. Senator Roger Wicker and Lee County Justice Court Judge Sadie Holland.

Chief Tony Carleton said Dutschke was arrested around 1 a.m. Saturday by the FBI and turned over to the U.S. Marshals Service.  There's no word on what the charges against him will be.

Sudlow: Is there really anyone out there that truly thinks you can send something toxic to the President and have it get to them? I don't think so. Something strange is going on with this one.

I wouldn't have thought anyone was stupid enough to try to ignite plastic explosive, hidden in their shoe, with a lighter, but here we are...

/That one always struck me as odd

Has it been mentioned that he used to be a former GOP candidate to the Mississippi House of Representatives?
