Call me crazy, but I think this makes the Thunder better.

A shame. Thunder might still be good enough to win West but they aren't beating Miami without him.

Also opens the door a bit for Denver I think.

They can sure use all that money they saved.

Like Miami wasn't going to win the whole damn thing anyway. Everyone else is playing for the right to be embarrassed by Miami. It's a wonder why anyone is even bothering to watch.

As a longtime Denver Taxis fan I for one am expecting disappointment.

Also, and you may want to sit down for this, but Truman actually defeated Dewey.

Well Miami is the favorite but I was looking forward to OKC-Mia rematch in the finals. I think it would be a much better series than last year. Now, meh.

Denver-Miami could be entertaining, and OKC-Mia would still be entertaining. I don't think the Knicks or whoever comes out of the West will be embarrassed by Miami.

As for why people watch...I'm guessing they like basketball? Just a guess.

While I'm sure Miami would win against any challenger easily, there's a lot of matchups against possible western foes that would be entertaining.

Hell, it's ungodly unlikely, but a Warriors or Rockets/Heat final would be "entertaining". Miami would sweep, but all four games would likely have scores well into the 100s for both teams.

Time for Durant to be #1 since he went on that rant in SI about him being sick and tired of being #2.  His %'s all around are better without Westbrook on the court.

Watch out what you wish for Kevin, here is your chance.  ESPN is also reporting that he might be able to play in a couple weeks if it just has to be trimmed.  I highly doubt we will be seeing him in the finals.

2013-04-26 04:26:48 PM
Its a shame, because they really seemed to have it all figured out.

2013-04-26 04:53:31 PM
Well, it'll be nice for Westbrook if they suck, then everyone can STFU about how horrible he is and how he's holding Durant back. Why come back? Just so they can blame you again when you're playing injured?

Considering Curry is back to being on one ankle, doubtful.

As a solid gsw fan I'm also down for some Tim Duncan MVP glory. BTW, Have farkers always been this bad at bball predictions or is this the joke thread?

2013-04-27 12:14:38 PM
If there's any life left in this thread I'd like to add I think the impending GSW-Spurs match-up will be exciting to watch.  Small ball run n' gun will make it wayyyy closer than a Spurs run-away like most people will predict.

JohnnyRebel88: His %'s all around are better without Westbrook on the court.

But Ibaka's and Martin's are worse. Ibaka falls off a farking cliff when Westbrook isn't on the floor: 39% shooting. His season number is 57%.
