These tunnels have ventilation, yes?  Then someone has already figured out how air flows in those tunnels.  Releasing a bunch of smoke into the tunnels is unnecessary.

Well better than that radioactive decay waste(radon) from cutting into the bedrock for the subway tunnels.

Is it your position that Radon comes from cutting into manhattan shist, as opposed to from decaying uranium and thorium? The reason it's found in basements is because it's a really dense gas, not because digging some dirt for the foundation somehow caused it's existence.

here in the bay area, BART is a giant sewer for bums that happens to have trains as well.

They've been testing some kind of biological agent detector on the Red Line in Boston/Cambridge for a while now.  Every now and then I see a sign about how they're releasing some inert microbe to see how it works.  I just assume the zombie apocalypse will start here and I look forward to all your tasty, tasty brains.

Fluorine is an extremely poisonous gas, and combining it in such an unholy union with carbon, which has 6 electrons, 6 protons, and 6 neutrons, making it 666, to create perfluorocarbons can only make it even more deadly.

Hmmm.  Do not have time to go into the actual study right now.  Is any reason given as to WHY they did these tests?

Radon is found from cutting into manhattan schist because schist contains decaying uranium, especially in the northeast.

It's also present in the soil. Being heavier than air, this is why it seeps into basements.

Probably not the worst thing. We could probably stand to relax a little and that's probably worth the occasional reaver.

Seriously? You think terrorists haven't thought of releasing poison gas? Yes, what an obscure and never-before-used concept. How do safety officials come up with these totally off-the-wall suggestions such as releasing poison gas?!

The only thing they might be uncertain of is the effectiveness of doing it in certain places, like, say, subways.

The results will mysteriously be priced to be sold only to rich terrorists, keeping the knowledge out of the hands of those second-hand knockoff terrorists who really don't have the production value needed for HD TV news alerts.
