Just make sure Arcade doesn't get anyone.

That's kind of neat I guess, but why the giant screen over the pool?  I've never been swimming and thought that TV would enhance my experience.

You know they'll do something similar with Star Wars.

They show movies around the pool at night.  I know it is cool to bag on all things Disney and Cruising, but if you want a family trip and want time with your mate away from kiddos in a safe well managed environment Disney Cruises are the best.  My 6 year-old would beg to go to some of the kids only events.

/Just got back fist time cruising the Caribbean would do Disney again.

Depending on place and location (usually when leaving ports)- they'll host big party on deck, with fireworks over the sides, etc. It'll add to the show.

They rotate movies on the screen most afternoon and evenings - it's kinda like a drive in theatre with the brightest screen on the planet. It is also quite the novelty to watch the Little Mermaid while swimming:

/the service & food on Disney ships is excellent

Think of it like a drive in with inner tubes instead of cars.  It can be a lot of fun.  I saw a screening of Jaws held at a lake a few years ago and it was a blast.  I imagine it would be a lot of fun for kids to watch something like Finding Nemo while floating about.

I was at a Disney store last weekend and the place was full of Marvel Comics merch, and I was kind of shocked how they hadn't filled it with Star Wars stuff yet.

As far as the cruise goes, will The Black Widow be able to serve me a drink?

Avengers Academy was where they sent a bunch of young superheroes who were so emotionally damaged that they were in danger of becoming homicidal supervillains. So the kids on this cruise should fit in perfectly there.

And just think - they're going to milk the franchise for everything. I bet they'll even start putting in Star Wars themed rides into the parks!

Back fist time? As one dad to the next, congrats on getting some alone time with the wife but did you have to go into that much detail?

Avengers Assemble!...your bedframes into makeshift oars so we can try to row our ship back to port.

Disney cruises are great without kids. My girlfriend and I had a blast and they have adult only pools, areas, etc. The shows are top notch.

/or you can go on a cheap carnival cruise

They need to make another cruise ship shaped like a Star Destroyer.

Or a pool designed to look like Yoda's home.

The Marvel restaurant that used to be at Universal Studios in LA over tens years ago was kindof sad in the main seating area.  But the way in was like walking through a Planet Hollywood as if the Superheros were real.  All kinds of displays and artifacts everywhere from a full iron man suit of armour, to thor's hammer, etc...

Best cool story.

Me and a friend were at the bar drinking (in the artifact room) and Wolverine strolled up and had a beer with us.  Not the tall Hugh Jackman Wolverine.  But an honest to god short, stocky, yellow and tiger stripped outfit wearing Wolverine.  Great, great costume and perfectly cast guy.  Just sat down next to us, ordered a beer all hunched over and said, "S'up Bub?".  We all sat there drinking our beers in silence watching TV.

Well, at least they got rid of the Avengers monorail.

It would be awesome if Star Wars would make it the Cruise Line. We're taking a cruise on the Magic this summer... guess we'll have to do another one next year to compare. Oh, the humanity.
