Moopy Mac: T-Boy: bsharitt: Lot of offensive linemen in the top 10.

Correct.  Defensive linemen also.  Anyone who understands why some teams (or college conferences) win and others don't should not be surprised by this.  Notice that no running backs were taken in the first round and only one quarterback.  The games are won and lost up front.

Except when your team is Green Bay.

The game is fought in the trenches. Without proper blocking, no one can achieve success. Someone tell this to Mike Brown, owner of the Bengals.

Jim from Saint Paul: The lengths you Farkers will go to hate fap against someone never ceases to amaze me.

I wish no ill upon Te'o.  He's a fool for that fake GF debacle, but I don't care either way if he was picked high or low unless it was by my team.  I'm more amused by the ESPN hype train (for him and Geno Smith) crashing worse than the Montparnasse derailment.  They need to perform real analysis, not sit around and hype the next marketable 'star'.

flak attack: JohnnyRebel88: Arkanaut: That was interesting -- the only QB in the first round is EJ Manuel, of all people? What happened to the Bills' supposed infatuation with Ryan Nassib?

The guy is the size of Cam Newton.  Maybe this is the offensive scheme they are looking to go for?  This was the only logic I could see behind such a decision.  It's the way of the new NFL.

Big Ben has been playing for 9 seasons.  This isn't exactly a revolutionary thing.

Yeah, but he's white so it doesn't count

CipollinaFan: Incorrigible Astronaut: abhorrent1: LMAO at Gino Smith. He's gonna be a PITA to whoever drafts him.

His body language last night was all you needed to know about why he fell. I don't remember Rodgers ever slipping into hangdog mode when he slipped.

And now he is not going to even show up tonight.
What a good way to show your potential employers how you handle adversity.

I like Mike & Mike's take on it this morning: basically, any of us normal folks who had been built up to believe we'd get a big promotion or something, only to have to sit through a several-hours long board meeting and find out that, no, sorry, nice suit you bought but no, not gonna happen...we'd probably react the same way.  And now team that's spent months evaluating him is suddenly going to say, "Well, our crack team of scouts have spent six months saying we should get this guy at pick 3 on day 2, but he looks sad, so hell with him."

Have you seen the 60 Minutes special on Rodgers? Awesome QB, funny guy, but possibly the most overly sensitive human being in professional sports. And not afraid to show it.

Man ESPN was farking annoying with their Manti Watch last night. "We're in Manti Range now"..."we'll Baltimore definitely needs a LB"..."why didnt anyone draft Te'o?".

Talk about over hyped draft picks. ESPN might explode of the Jets draft him. Tebow can use his pretend throwing skills to toss it to Te'o's pretend girlfriend and ESPN will wet their pants.

Actually, I don't know if I have a problem with that. It's highly possible that he might fall to late 2nd rd, early 3rd. Why would anyone want to wait around that long, more-or-less by themself in the room, just so that ESPN and NFL Network can keep changing showing pictures of them sitting around doing nothing?

Don't worry, I'm sure the Lions will take him with their 2nd round pick.  Then, they'll take Denard Robinson with their 3rd round pick.  They seem to really like taking these super talented players with huge question marks.
