(CNN)   You can tell Apple's in a death spiral, because it took a full 90 seconds to sell all 5000 tickets to their World Wide Developers Conference   (tech.fortune.cnn.com) divider line 12

I've never understood the whole fanboi thing where anonymous people are online and flock to defend a massive corporation they don't work for, probably have not invested in and likely spend a few hundred dollars a year to buy one or two of their products like it's part of the True Cross. And fight to the death they will, from hell's heart they stab at thee

Altair: Steve Jobs will not sleep with you.

Last I heard he's not in a position to say no.

The only thing weirder is the people who blindly hate Apple fans.

No, rest assured people who blindly defend Apple are just as weird as people who blindly hate them.

I don't think you know this, but you're farking weird.  You're the only person to show up in literally every single Apple thread to defend them, no matter what the context is.  You're a farking weirdo.

mjbok: This means jack-all.  A local dot.net conference with about 2000 tickets sells out in less than five minutes every year.

//Apple is not in a death spiral, they are probably just inching towards normalcy.

Normalcy?!

Quick! Dump the stock!!

So have they yet come up with a smartphone that can do anything useful that the combined power of a bottom-of-the-line laptop (and a shiatty flip phone) can't do twice as well for half the price?

No?

OK, I'll stick with the laptop then.

The paid shills who spread anti-Apple propaganda at least have a purpose to their yammering.

I'll go one weirder: how about the Apple fan haters who eventually got iPads or iPhones?

MayContainHorseGluten: Yep, sounds like it's totally going under. *rolls eyes*

Fanboys of anything usually suck. But there are some people whom if you say you like something Apple-related it's like you just insulted their mother or something.

/my multi-billion-dollar corporation is better than your multi-billion-dollar corporation!

I am always amused by the people who trash one company as "evil" then exhibit blind loyalty to another.

"Apple is an evil walled garden!  I use Google for everything!"

Was it overpriced relative to other development conferences? That's probably why. It's trendy to pay double for the same stuff.
