Considering it took quite a few people to pull off 9/11, does that make Jenny McCarthy a greater threat than Islamic terrorists?

Why don't we round up the numbers of the kids who died because their parents thought that vaccinations were evil and do a side by side comparison?  Whichever has the higher body count wins.

Even before conception, retardation can be detected in the parents.

Interesting research.

Very interesting.

And when did the American Academy of Pediatrics start recommending autism screening for all 18 month children?

So it's the placenta causing autism! Parents, be sure to avoid using placenta when growing babies inside your womb.

Some dipstick will just make a long list desperately explaining why most, if not all, of the McCarthy deaths don't actually count.

You have no farking clue what you are talking about.

You have failed in the most basic sense

There are huge structural abnormalities in the autistic brain. Abnormalities like whole missing layers of cortex for example. We know that these abnormalities occur when the brain is forming during the second trimester. So how the merry fark can a gene that is 'awakened' by a vaccine make changes to brain structure at a gross structural level? How does it move the neurons around? How does this gene collapse six cortical layers into 5? Bear in mind that there is no evidence in any other aspect of human biology that a gene or set of genes could ever do this.

Normally ignorance doesn't bother me - but your stupidity is getting people killed and you should be farking ashamed of yourself. You're a disgrace.

When my kid went in for his 18 month vaccines the nurse said "Oh by the way, your son shows no signs of autism".  I had no idea they could test young kids for that and apparently she'd been testing him the entire visit without me realizing it.  I didn't ask what the testing consisted of, but I assume it was behavioral cues and things.  At least my little weirdo isn't atypically weird AND he's up on his vaccines so suck it, anti-vax nuts.

Diagnosis for autism is only ever behavioral.

You can only tell for definite by autopsying the brain. People having their brain autopsied obviously do not provide a lot of behavior to look for cues.

PET and qMRI scans are becoming sensitive enough to detect those structural differences.

No necessarily. They can easily draw blood, and with a simple test can measure the amount of vaccine "material" compared to damage cells that would have normally prevented the autism.

I can make the hypothesis right now... Vaccine causes genetic damage to the parental contributions through a retroviral insertion into the genome. Just wild speculation, but detailed genomic study could point the way.

I still say it's the fact they changed the definitions and made it profitable to provide special treatment. No doctor benefits from the good health of his friends. Well, except The Doctor.

T.rex: People still attacking Jenny McCarthy?   Why don't you figure out what causes autism first, before trying to attack someone else who put forth a theory?

Autism is due to overcrowding of souls. Because dead people's souls just wander around and don't disintegrate, now the whole earth is taken up by souls (old and new). When two souls try to occupy the same space, autism happens. The only solution is to develop space colonies so we can spread the souls out.

Okay, now that that is over with: Jenny McCarthy is irresponsibly misleading parents as well as offensively proud of her own ignorance.

T.rex: People still attacking Jenny McCarthy?   Why don't you figure out what causes autism first, before trying to attack someone else who put forth a theory?

It's not a theory, it's a hypothesis, and one that's been roundly debunked as junk science over and over again but retards like McCarthy are still out there spouting it. Sadly, there are enough busybody contrarian parents out there who eat this kind of shiat up that once almost eradicated diseases are starting to make a comeback in places where the percentage of unvaccinated children approaches 15% or more.

The anti-vax movement is a perfect embodiment of the term "first world problems". The people that adhere to it, by and large, live such pampered lives so devoid of any kind of struggle or adversity that they turn to made up struggles in order to give their lives any meaning. Normally I'd be content to sit back and laugh at their willful ignorance but they're causing actual harm to communities.

She based her "theory" solely on "Dr." Andrew Wakefield's debunked attempt to market his own measles vaccine.

Jenny McCarthy is an advocate for generating publicity for Jenny McCarthy.

1150(anti-vax victims)/1(that coont) against 6000(9/11 victims)/19(number of hijackers)

The biatch has 1150, while the douches have 316.  McCarthy has a larger bodycount.  I never thought I'd say this, but there is a person who, all on their own, is more dangerous than Al Qaeda was on 9/11.

Because for her theory to work you'd have to be intelligently designed, ya follow me?  The only way that those drugs can cause autism is if a super natural being of unimaginable power rewrites all the rules, makes the vaccine give the kid autism then puts everything back the way it was.

But then in a universe where a being of such capabilities and totally amoral nature existed... why even bother with the whole random vaccine thing?  Just dance naked through the streets showering people with AIDS or whatever else takes your fancy.

It's the only way her theory works: God did it.
