FTFA: Bush added that his brother Jeb Bush would make a great candidate in 2016. "He'd be a marvelous candidate, if he chooses to do so," Bush said, adding, "He doesn't need my counsel 'cause he knows what it is, which is 'run!'"

Cue every "How about no" image on the internet.

No, but funding the GOP pays for itself in spades, just ask Cheney's friends from Halliburton.

You mean the friends from Halliburton that recieved billions of taxpayer dollars to create mayhem in Iraq? Yeah, that was my point.

That must be frightening for a party that continues to live in the past.

Since All Republicans would like nothing more than the repeal of the 13th and 15th amendments*, it makes sense that they would use African-Americans as currency.

/* except maybe for the repeal of the 1st amendment. And the Fourth, in years when a Republican is president.

That gives me an idea for a new GOP slogan: "The future is yesterday"

He can't even get his mom's endorsement:

"There are other people out there that are very qualified, and we've had enough Bushes," former first lady Barbara Bush told NBC's "Today," adding that she doesn't think her son, the former Florida governor, will make a bid.

Odd.  Elections are over and NOW George Bush is crawling back into the light.  Does this mean Cheney is going to start on the interview circuit now as well?

Somebody needs to quit giving that shiatbag interviews. Doing so does nothing but legitimize his political failures (=warcrimes).

I don't think it will ever happen.  NBC news had a segment on him the other night for the opening of his Presidential library.  They were saying how popular he was after 9/11 and so forth.  Had to turn it off.  Made me sick.

Not too surprising though seeing as how NBC was totally in the tank to invade Iraq.

I do wonder how long it will take before Republicans re-embrace Bush. They keep flirting with the idea in the rare moments Bush rears his head, but then they quickly figure out that it's not a very popular sentiment. My guess is he'll still be an albatross around their neck in 2016.

It must hurt his soul knowing that he had a better upbringing than Clinton.
Beat Al Gore (with a little help from his friends but...)
Was President four years longer than daddy and the rest of the world just smiles at him and tosseles his hair and says "My, my Georgie those are such nice paintings "

Sequestered to what amounts to house arrest because of war crimes he has to sit back and watch Clinton and Gore speak (and be listened to without suppressing laughter) on an international stage and even suffer watching,"the worst president EVHAR", Carter go on talk shows and talk about how the Carter foundation has eradicated the guniea worm on nearly the entire planet.

And Bush stands in front of the adults and try's to regale them with stories of how he used to be a star "why I even once gave a back rub to Angela Merkel...while she was still president thank you very much"

And the adults smile and say "that's soooo cute Georgie!! Is that a doggie? And you did that all by yourself? What a good painter your are I am going to put this right up on the fridge"

A while.  Hell, his FATHER, who was at least a decent president (not a great one but not freaking horrible) is still persona-non-Grata.   I'd guess at least a decade.

I just heard about his speech at the private opening of his library.. all those dignitaries there, and no one took the opportunity to arrest the war criminal?  What a waste.

Supposedly he used the word 'freedom' a lot to describe what he did.. and did not mention Iraq at all.
