After the seminfinal draw, there was all this talk and hype of an all-Spanish final. Whoops.

Just watched the highlights again. What a finish on that third goal.

Ad already his agent is saying they've reached an offer and he's leaving Dortmund after this year. So Dortmund quite possibly reaches the champs league final...and they offload their talent.

I honestly doubt it's Bayern.  They've already offloaded Goetze to them; are they seriously going to give them Lewandowski as well?

It's pretty clear that it's Bayern that has the agreement with RL-that's where the player wants to go. Dortmund is farked, because if they don't accept Bayern's bid now, they will literally be giving him to Bayern next summer.

No way in hell its Arsenal. That narrative is already set in stone. But welcome BVB to the ranks of feeder clubs, perhaps Arsenal and they can schedule a friendly.

Nah, that news rubbish, there's no agreement between Lewandowski and Bayern. Just like when he was a "sure signing" for United back in January, it's just journo rubbish.

You know what else Arsenal and BVB have in common? I think half the Poland National Team is on their respective rosters.

I'm guessing the Lewandowski-to-Bayern rumors were a smokescreen for the Goetze move and no way will Dortmund sell two of their best players to Bayern.

Why would Bayern need a striker anyway? It's not like they can play 2-6-2 or anything. Eventually their glut of attacking options has to give way to defenders.

It's hardly surprising.  The handwriting was already on the wall when United got Kagawa last year.  BVB have a ton of talent which is underpaid by EPL, La Liga and Serie A standards (Bayern's, too, for that matter) and a budget that can't retain this talent at the going market rate.  No matter how the Champion's League goes, Dortmund will probably be sellers.

It's certainly not something new, either.  Ajax reached two straight CL finals before they lost the likes of Kluivert, Davids, Seedorf, Overmars, van der Saar, both de Boers, etc to foreign clubs in the next few years.  That's how things go for all but the richest clubs in Europe...

Great player, but he's not even the best player on his team.

If Lewandowski isn't going to sign an extension, they might have to sell him to Bayern. He's free next summer.

Yeah, Lewandowski is probably even a reach for top 10 in the world.

Maybe top 5 in strikers.  Maybe.

I'm still in the "he's damn good, but a bit overrated" camp. Dortmund is stacked, so he can always operate in space with stars like Reus and Goetze running around him. From what games I've seen of his while on national duty with Poland (namely Euro 2012), he didn't really stand out, to be honest, which was a bit surprising if he's playing with BVB teammates like Kuba and Piszczek where I thought some natural chemistry would really show itself.

RvP also had a forgettable Euro 2012.  But Poland were disappointing as a whole and Lewandowski has some responsibility there.  And he feels like a streaky player.  But the performance against RM and the different types of goals scored really just showcased his talent(s).

Yeah, that whole team didn't just "lay an egg"; the Netherlands were a goddamn hatchery that tourney. Dear God were they brutal.

He's been wanting out.  Dortmund may as well let him inflate his value more and then cash in this summer.
