Why do they keep arresting him?

This is why drugs should just be legal. If he could just go to an opium den and do a real drug in a safe environment, there'd be no problems here.

Instead we get this.

Huffing paint is not a drug, it's a side effect that literally rots your brain into mush. You want this shiat to be legal, that's your opinion, but watching this man destroy himself is a very sad spectacle to have to see anyone go through.

Paint IS legal. THAT'S THE PROBLEM. So's poison and bleach. If drinking that got you high, imagine how many deaths and burned mouths.

The problem is that safe highs aren't legal. Only alcohol, caffine, and poisons. Yeah opium can blah blah blah, huffing is a brazillion times worse. We should legalize drugs that are drugs so this guy's story is never told again. Who'd huff paint when you can buy shrooms and such at a nice cafe?

First world problems?

I think you'd find that having to watch how 50% of the planet lives their day-to-day lives is a sad spectacle. At least this dude is doing shiat on his own terms. As far as sad spectacles go this guy is the upper-crust. He might as well be huffing paint in the Velvet Room.

Sad spectacles around the world would farking kill to live his sad spectacle.

There are Chinese getting worked to death, literally, while being exposed to chemicals just as brain-mushing... all so we can have cheap shiat at WalMart. THAT, is a sad spectacle.

Tribett getting caught huffing paint, again? That's not a sad spectacle, that's Thursday morning.

OTOH, he might switch to clear paint so he doesn't stand out so much.

My question is....why gold paint? Does it provide more of a high or he just a more refined huffer?

5. Silver And Gold Are Stronger
Why are so many spray paint abusers covered in silver or gold paint in their booking photos? It's not an issue of aesthetics. These metallic colors contain more of the solvent toluene, the chemical that delivers a short-lived euphoric buzz.

borg: Life Reinvented: Tribett Breaking Chains of Addiction He almost had it all

That's actually quite sad. At the time the article was written, he had only been clean 8 weeks. And seemed very intelligent, considering the damage that huffing causes.

Imagine finding out from a stranger that you are the laughingstock of the internet. And still not able to quit.

2013-04-25 08:29:51 AM
I knew a kid who huffed paint.  He's GONE.  He isn't dead, but I still see him once in awhile at the local pizza shop, sipping a 40oz beer, headphones on, just sitting there, staring off into space.

Kids, if you want to get high, for the love of god just go get some weed, because the "high" from huffing comes at a terrible price.

Tolulene is the buzz, most in gold and silver.

It is sad, considering he got "sober" enough to realize he had issues.

At this point though, if he is going to go down this road, at least try to get a booking photo in all 50 states or something.

Aren't there still people drinking rubbing alcohol despite the availability of cheap booze like MD 20/20 or Boones Farm?  Or does that only happen in after school specials?

I can't imagine going to the hardware store to buy your drug of choice. Poor bastard.

Is paint actually that good? Not that it would *ever* be worth doing anyway, as it's highly destructive, but a question to anyone that's done it - why keep doing it? Is it significantly different to (say) nitrous or amyls? What's up with that?
I know one or two people who used to huff butane, thankfully they stopped.

The rubbing alcohol thinds tends to be stupid kids who can't legally get alcohol or homeless/poor people who can't afford it, because rubbing alcohol is more easily shoplifted from stores (same with mouthwash and soaps).  Unfortunately in the case of rubbing alcohol, some don't seem to realize that it's methanol.

At this point his brain is probably so much swiss cheese, he will not be able to live any sort of productive life. He will probably need some sort of supervised living arrangement eventually. The judge on one of these arrests should just go ahead and sentence him to some serious time. Not in a max - I don't see him there, but a minimum security, structured, paint free environment might be the best place for him.

I don't disagree, but in a country where we've apparently decided to simply endlessly incarcerate people for being sick with an addiction instead of offering them appropriate medical care, what other option is there?

We don't let people who just want to have casual fun get high safely without threatening to jail them up, we don't help people who can't get high without developing a dependency.... what other option than watching this sad spectacle do we really have in a country that's decided to ensure it's going to happen?

CSB:

When I was in high school (mid 80s) I worked at a Walgreens.  We had this weird guy come in on several occasions, and try to buy all the mouthwash, and cough syrup he could load into a cart.  Manager always stopped him before he could even get to the register.  I remember the manager saying something about the guy not being able to purchase legal booze, for some odd reason, so he hit the drug stores.  Not really sure if the guy couldn't actually score legal booze, or maybe just had a bizarre addiction.

A. Inmates are allowed one visit per day. For scheduling information, you must contact the facility the inmate is currently located in.

That's what I figured. There's got to be a more efficient way for him to get his fix. Although, the fact that he's huffing paint to begin with means that, by now, he's probably a few eggs short of a dozen.
