I guess they don't have to do a lot of planning for the first round, but you'd think they'd be all over rounds 2 3 5 6 and 7.

No shiat, at #2 overall they'll get Rodgers or Brady no problem.

*snert*

That would be one hell of a way for the commish to go out. An hour before the draft, announce that the draft this year will be a 52 round total league overhaul. No player is safe.

Ok, I don't know what the context is, but that's awesome. Poor Bunny.

Dorsey looks like he knows what he's doing in KC's war room. I have faith.

Do they even have a Big Board or is it that blank white in the upper-left hand corner of the screen.

Maybe they have nobody in their war room because they've secretly traded their entire draft Hershel Walker style to pick up Tony Romo, who will then back up the man, the legend that is

Maybe the Jags have a 'back war room' where all the guys with computers are playing DOOM!   And where all the real work will happen during the draft.

2013-04-24 08:07:50 PM
Why do they need a busy draft room when everybody knows what there going to pick.

2  pick overall. Geno Smith
33 pick overall. Matt Barkley

you can never have too many QBs

Also, at this point what more is there to do for these guys at this exact moment?  The evaluations should be complete, no trades are likely to happen until draft time, and the draft doesn't start for about 24 hours from now.

I understand your point, but you can easily make the case that no team in the NFL has done a worse job of player evaluation (I'm not talking just drafting; free agency included) and overall roster management and development than the Jaguars over the past five years or so. Even if you have 10 temps playing farmville on their laptops, at least  look like you're busy instead of having two guys just masturbating.

They're bad, but...here's an older article absolutely eviscerating damn near everything Jacksonville has done recently.

I almost stopped reading after the quote from their GM justifying drafting a punter in the third round with "I'd rather take a starter over a backup" because my vision was understandably blurred after repeatedly slamming my head into the wall as a knee-jerk response to that.

Yeah, I'd say the Eagles and Jets in the past 5 years are up there for terrible drafts, but the Jags really take the cake.  Much of the blame for the Eagles and Jets can be chalked up to bad luck but the Jags have just made stupid, boneheaded moves.

2013-04-24 08:56:43 PM
Maybe they are in the process of moving their draft room to LA.

Have you seen what they're going to be wearing this season? I don't blame them for not wanting to be scene as associated with the Jags.

RVA may refer to:
*    Régie des Voies Aériennes de la République Démocratique du Congo

*   Richmond, Virginia

*   RVA Magazine, an independent art, music and opinion magazine based in & on Richmond, VA

*   Relative Virtual Address, a concept in the COFF format

*   Rift Valley Academy, a boarding school outside of Nairobi, Kenya

*   Ryedale Voluntary Action, the Council for Voluntary Service for Ryedale, North Yorkshire

*   Russian Vegetable Association, a Russian organization to promote the consumption of vegetables.

Clearly I'm in a Russian Vegetable Association.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that the Jaguars are the only ones doing it right. They have an eighth of the people the Titans have and had the same record last year.

Moneyball.
