(Talking Points Memo)   For those of you who thought the silliest events in American politics were the "debates" that Ron Paul and Gary Johnson held against a fake Obama: You were wrong. You were very very wrong   (livewire.talkingpointsmemo.com) divider line 110

Mr. Coffee Nerves: The truly disturbing part is the person who saw this stunt and thought "Hoooooooo Doggies! That there Sanford done stuck it to Palassy and them there libs! I'm gonna start cutting my heart pills in half so I have more money to send to his campaign!"

Seems like a self-correcting problem to me.

The sad thing is, I bet you he still lost the debate.

Did anyone mention how we're laughing about the fact that we lock allbut two parties out of our national debates? And that those two parties hold amazingly similar positions with regards to wars, ccorporatism, civil liberties, et al?

I guess it's fair because one side wants gay marriage and the other doesn't. That pretty much covers all the important issues.

ladodger34: Karac: un4gvn666: Why did Colbert Busch only agree to one debate?

/I don't give a shiat about Mark Sanford and his retard antics

Probably because the election is in less than two weeks.  And how many debates do you really need?

The GOP primaries had, what 50? debates.  And did you learn a single thing from ANY of them that you didn't already know?

Well, we did learn that Mittens would abandon his somewhat moderate record in order to get the GOP nomination.  That has to be worth something right?  And that Newt Gingrich entered the race to sell more books.

and erm.. one other thing.. mm. I forgot. oops

The "Libertarian" party is just as bad as the Republicans. Sure, they're less socially conservative, but they're even happier to let corporations fark everyone in the pursuit of profit. Being able to smoke weed isn't really worth returning to the Gilded Age.

The only other party that's even CLOSE to viable is the Green party, and while I do agree with many of their positions, they're far too weak as a party. They need to build support at the local levels before going national, but they don't seem to realize that.

Why does the poster have notes to review? Is he that dedicated to accuracy?

Wouldn't she need a cardboard standup of a teleprompter to fulfill all the right-wing fantasies?

Sanford is certainly a master debater.

Bucky Katt: Sanford is certainly a master debater.

Yeah, he's performing solo.

Diogenes: After the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) released a brutal ad last week that mocked Sanford's 2009 mistress scandal, the former governor took out a full page ad in Sunday's edition of the Charleston Post & Courier in which he likened himself to a soldier in the Battle of the Alamo and accused Colbert Busch and Pelosi of attempting to "buy this race."

Wait...I thought he was more like King David?

Poor guy.  On top of everything else, he's got multiple personality disorder.

He's dancing around in public showing everyone his privates? Sounds about right.
