Oh.
I thought this was going to be a sequel to Where The Wild Things Are.

I thought the same thing and was really confused by the reference to Neve Campbell. I guess we can wait a few more months before they commence the raping of Maurice Sendak's corpse.

If any movie is going to attempt a portrayal the alleged storyline from the brilliantly inept Italian prosecution, let Bret Easton Ellis or Chuck Palahniuk write their own adaptions first then make a movie off that. Let's shoot for critical mass levels of sick and twisted.

So apparently the twist is to bring back Denise Richard's character from the dead.

Stupid article writer is stupid.

Um, the crazy in that case was the nutcase detective that thinks every murder he has ever investigated involves group satanic ritual killings and a complete lack of physical evidence of whoever he randomly fixated on had anything to do with the case.

A Rashomon-style movie showing what actually happened and how it morphed into what the prosecution thinks happened could be pretty good in a bizarre way. Watching people go collectively insane is always entertaining as long as you're on the outside.

Roger Ebert gave it 4 stars.  Rare is the non-Oscar bait movie that he gave 4 stars.

The first Wild Things is trashy, but it knows it's trashy and has a ton of fun with it.  And it's has some really wild twists in it that M. Night Shammalammadingdong wishes he could pull off.

The others are just softcore porn, but ain't a damn thing wrong with that

Whatever happened to Neve Campbell, anyway?

/or for that matter, to the Transylvania Twist?

Wild Things was one of the best damn movies of that year, in part because it simultaneously deconstructed thrillers and soap-opera-style fiction while embracing them wholeheartedly. The writing was clever, over-the-top, and subtle at the same time. I never saw the sequels, though. Are they worthwhile?

To fap to? Yes (especially Diamonds in the rough).

To watch for acting/plot? oh good lord no.
