"Suspendered"?  Well, it makes sense.  Considering how thick Manny has gotten around the middle, perhaps he should be forced to wear suspenders for 100 games just to make sure his pants stay up.

Damn, they had time to warm up another pitcher in the time it took Manny to round those bases.

Subby, you misspelled something there.

He was suspendered for 100 jeans...not games

I love how he says "2 RUN HOME RUN!!!" and "GOODBYE!!!"
Probably similar to the way we'd use "sayonara" or "adios" or "Fick mich, du miserabler hurensohn"

I think there's a lot of that in non-English-speaking countries where baseball is popular--they seem to invent made-up words that sound similar to English-language baseball terms spoken in English with an accent, even if the structure and sounds of the words would be weird for the local language.  For example, "home run" in Japanese is "Hōmuran" (which sounds like someone with a Japanese accent saying "home run" in English), and in Spanish it's "jonrón" (pronounced something like "hone ron").  Once when I was in Mexico, I was watching an American MLB game (Giants vs. Dodgers) that they happened to be showing on TV in the hotel, with the play-by-play in Spanish.  Someone hit a home run, and the announcer did the same sort of call they do on Mexican soccer broadcasts whenever there's a goal:

 "Jooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooon-rón !!!"

Fark Manny Ramirez - Taiwan should be ashamed of itself for giving that scumbag a place to play professionally.

Looks like he walked right over home plate without touching it.

The correct term is "suspenderated".

Manny Sorry Elephant?

The hell did that sign mean?

Wow. that crowd is three times bigger than what Cleveland turns out...
That, and i've never seen a player take that long to round the bases.

Came here to ask this.

Donnchadha: Manny HR, Sorry Elephant?

The hell did that sign mean?

I think the opposing team was the Elephants.  So it was something like "Sorry Elephants, another Manny HR."

It's not just the drugs - funny you assume that.  It's his attitude, his over-the-top antics, his disrespect for professionalism.  PED use is just the sugary candy coating.

Dirt infield?

I don't think that was hotdogging. Based on his performance for the past several years, especially in the outfield with the Dodgers, clearly running takes a lot out of Manny. I don't see him jogging 100 feet or more on a ball that might go foul just to have to walk all the way back and try again. Hotdogging would be doing that on a 450-foot drive well clear of the foul line.

I've always liked the guy. I'm glad to see him doing well.

That wasn't hotdogging, and that highlight wasn't worth watching.. save for the weird sign.

Unprofessional baseball players in this day and age? Teams wiling to pay guys like him 20million a year? People still support a business that pays douchebags 20 million a year?

Gritty Kitty Litter: Looks like he walked right over home plate without touching it.

He didn't touch it, they played it on Sportscenter.  I guess they don't use instant replay and were wondering why it took him 45 minutes to walk around the bases.  It would of taken him another 10 minutes to come out of the dugout to hit home plate if notified by a teammate or manager anyway.

I miss Manny, I hate to say it.  He used to make me pull my hair out as a Boston fan, but you learn to take the good with the bad.
