Gulper Eel: Move the Rays Marlins up to Montreal.

But first you have to bury Loria into a glacier.

Won't happen. Olympic stadium is a dump. Makes the Rays Tropicana Field look nice.

Let Canada play their own baseball if they want baseball. They do it with football. Time to rescue the Blue Jays down to Charlotte and then close the border.

I'd be psyched to see Youppi at an Impact game.  Not gonna happen, since the Habs actually paid someone for the licensing rights.

/ want to catch a game at Saputo some year, when SKC is up there.

This got me thinking ... what if there was a Canadian baseball that's anything like the Canadian version of football?

- 100-foot basepaths with a 65-foot mound, necessitating a completely different-sized diamond
- You only get three balls and two strikes
- All foul balls are strikes, not just before you get to what was strike two but is now strike one
- If a runner can score before the final out of an inning is recorded, it counts (even on a flyball with two outs without tagging)
- 10 players in the field

A balk doesn't score a runner on third but if a runner is also on second he will move up and the two runners share 3rd base.

- PED's are not only legal, they're encouraged
- Team Uniforms will consist of flannel shirts with each team getting their own color in a plaid pattern.

They will add an extra base and make it a pentagon.

They use metric unuts in canadian football, How would you metric-ify baseball? 10 innings? 100m basepaths?

30 metre base paths, 20 metre mound (or maaaybe 18, as it would be 17 inches closer than the current mound).  Minimum 100 metres to the poles, and 120 to dead centrefield.  And yes, all using the English spellings of all these words would be mandatory.

What is an Expo? Slang for export?

RockChalkH1N1: What is an Expo? Slang for export?

Named for the 1967 Worlds' Fair "Expo 67".  Which, according to my dad and grandparents who went was actually pretty darned cool.  However, naming your team after not only an inherently one-time event, but a one-time event that happened two years before the team started playing?  That takes a certain level of, "Go home, Montreal, you're drunk".  As did/does Youppi, although he's markedly better as a mascot than the contrived mascots of most Olympics in the last 30 years.

The string was working, until this.
