It's profit, not revenue. They'll be fine.

They're still making a profit...just because profits fell doesn't spell the end of the world.

Worst appliances.

After five years and about $600 in repairs poured into my $900 LG washer ($900, I know, ex-wife), I decided to call it quits and get a $400 Whirlpool.  No problems with that in four years.

My nine year old LG dryer has a cracked drum.  How the fark does that happen?

They bought a former company of mine: stupid and single-minded are the best adjectives I can give for LG managers.  Racist and sexist would be a couple of others.

If that was true, then presumably now he would be 24 given the account was set up slightly over 10 years ago.

My 4+ year old LG monitor is the best I've ever had so far.

Doesn't LG make the LED/LCD screens for a lot of the other manufactures?

The only LG items I've owned are an older flip phone and a LG neon. I'm not gentle with my cell phones but they both stood up to my neglect admirably. Not quite Nokia toughness but still pretty good.

I had an LG flip phone back in the early/mid 2000's.  It was a good phone.  Solid.

Other than that, I own a large LG LCD TV.  Smart TV at that.  I'm happy with it.

Not sure, but I have 2 55" LG LED TVs that I got real cheap that are sweet.

As someone who bought a Goldstar boombox at Pay Less in the early 90's, I'm getting a kick out of these replies.

GoldStar (what LG used to be) was a third-tier electronics manufacturer (like Emerson or latter-day RCA and Zenith) that went through a very successful marketing/image/re-branding campaign.  A lot of their products are crap, some of their best products (kitchen stoves) are purchased from other manufacturers and given the LG nameplate.

I had a Whirlpool dishwasher that had the motor burn out on me after 1.1 years, just after warranty.  Who made that motor?  LG.

I have an LG smrt phone because I'm cheap.  It does the jerb just fine.  I can text with it!

When I worked at Sears in the late 90s, we had three VCRs on the shelf next to each other. Three different brands, three different price points, all with the same features, all made by Goldstar in the same housing with different badges.

LG branded window unit a/c's are pretty good. I'm not sure if they actually manufacture them or they buy them and just slap their name on them.

I have one of their TVs, and it's okay for me. It displays all the colors I can see, as far as I can tell, and puts them on the right place on the screen, too!

Their TV sales are probably down because most people have switched from CRT to flat screen at this point, so the market is getting saturated.

Is Samsung paying for anti-LG headlines now too?
