I still do not get the hate for Joe Buck.

But then again, my head's not firmly up my ass.

Likewise. He's not my favorite guy to have calling things, but he's far from the worst.

Didn't even remember the power outage until this article. Why? Because sh*t happens. Not a big deal.

The reason people don't like him is because it's clear he doesn't even like the sports he covers and has even said so himself. And it's clear by how he calls a game.

When Justin Timberlake was reached, he said, "Joe called a great game, a great game."

Well that, and he peed in my shoes.

The lights go dim.  The smell of panic and despair lingers in the air.  Who will be the first to take a dump from the mezzanine?

Hello, friends, I'm Jim Nantz, welcoming you to the Superdome... a tradition like no other.

I remember that there was an outage and thinking "Eh, ok, so what?". Was there some controversy over the quality of the on-field reporters during that time? Obviously they weren't prepared, but I don't remember it as anything noteworthy....

I don't get it either. I guess people would rather have some bumble head like Jaws or Terry Bradshaw calling games. Hell! bring Madden back, 60% of the time it works every time. You know these games are half mental and 90% physical...

Sorry Susan. It was just a question.

Sometimes I don't feel like googling it myself, copying the link, pasting it, and usually hyperlinking text because I don't like how the URL looks. It's much faster if people asking for citations just google it themselves.
