Is that the owl from the Tootsie-Roll pop commercials?  And the Starbucks logo?  Seriously, his tats look like something he picked from a coloring book, which was probably the case.

as i understand it. "olde timey" navy Tattoos ala sailer Jerry, are hep thing in body art nowadays, and those look to be of the style.
So there is nothing wrong with the artist or the tats themselves, it is just that the art work itself is intentianaly rough and amaturish

And he's cheap too? Next time get halfway through and stop there until they pay up.

I am 100% sure that if I had his kind of money, I could get better tattoos.

Nooooo those are not in that style at all. Those are horribly done tattoos. There is a difference.

Traditional tattoos look great with a skilled artist, they also typically follow a theme or style. His tattoos are what's called flash, the sh*t you find on the walls of a tattoo shop. Not only that but they were not even done well.

Until he gets one of these will he have any street credit with me...

He's too young to be choosing to do that to himself, he will definitely regret most of those. Bodies are not toilet walls for us to scribble whatever hits a nerve this week.
My guess is the combination of large amounts of money, poor role models and sycophants surrounding him, and some sort of mental/emotional disorder have resulted in him wanting to buy a 'street' image, without any consideration for the 30 or 40 year old he will become. The older version of him will look back on all this with disdain at best but more likely pure disgust.
There is nothing wrong with tattoos, when relevant. If you're a biker get biker tattoos, if you're a jock get jock tattoos, if you're a slut get slut tattoos. But be aware that you are branding yourself as such for the rest of your time on this mudball, unless you go down the laser route.

This explains EVERYTHING he does. I almost feel bad for him, almost. He doesn't have anyone telling him "no" right now. There is always hope though, look at Justin Timberlake. For godsake he wore a denim suit for crying out loud.

That is the most disjointed smattering of tattoos I have ever seen.

I could be wrong but I thought the idea of a sleeve was to eventually end up with a large cohesive piece...

I'm having a hard time figuring out how all that is going to come together.

You can do a traditional style that's a bunch of smaller pieces filled in between with stars or something. His however, would look like sh*t

I wish we could make tattoos that last only a year. Maybe some kind of vegetable ink that slowly gets absorbed? I'm sure if it could be done, we would have it by now.

The problem would be that you'd get a gradual fade, probably not very equal. Thus after 6 months you'd have a splotchy piece of artwork on your skin. Very hard to make any kind of color that stays exactly the same for 11 months and then abruptly vanishes...
I think people have been working on colors that are just way easier to remove, i.e. react very well to lasers. So you'd need just one treatment instead of a dozen. But I haven't heard anything about that for the last couple of years, and if the guys at the MIT aren't clever enough for this...

Amputation and new limbs could solve that. Just get traditional tattoos then cut the arm off a year later, sew a new one on, repeat at will.
I'd be willing to hack off Bieber's head should he ever tattoo that. Can't guarantee I can sew a new one on but...

Once you get past the whole "tattoos are meaningful" you can get some great artwork. All I look for now is a good artist, give them some input but then let them be an artist.

I think this is the first time I've read the daily fail without using adblock.

If you are reading it with adblock, try it without, and you'll get all sorts of pop up ads over the pictures explaining exactly where you can buy Justin Bieber's hats, shirts, pants, shoes, and jewelry to achieve "the look".

It really makes me fear the day when the ad blockers, no scripters, disconnecters, anti-tynters are outlawed or no longer work and we'll be left with either turning the web off or succumbing to all this crap.

I blame Jesus. Bieber's basically the Tim Tebow of music, minus the talent.
