Just...Wow.  Hell of a good read, and I'm happy that police had the presence of mind to not drag Torres and others down with this asshole.

Simple enough the way I see it:

1. Recruit some bozo who is not very bright;

2. Tell him it is a secret mission;

3. Collect the money after every successful robbery;

4. Run like hell if he gets caught, leaving him holding the bag.

That about get it?

I love how they sentenced him to 4 years in his mother's basement. NO WAY he doesn't have a Fark handle.

FTA: "The following day, Torres and his brother-in-law entered a BB&T bank in Alexandria. It was packed, so the pair quickly left without making an attempt. On Friday, Torres made what would be his last-and worst-attempt. He, a cousin, a friend, and his brother-in-law tried to rob the same BB&T branch. It was again busy."

"You robbed the same bank twice?"
"Nah, the first time was just to case the joint and rob it a little..."

"So you break into people's places to make sure nobody can break into their places?"

"It's a living."

"Not a very good one."
