Saw her a few weeks ago here in NOLA. She puts on one hell of a show. Real sweet girl.

Cute chick, I approve of everything she does.

Great youtube series. Known about her for awhile. Cute AND talented.

/Her take of "We Found Love" is better than Rhianna's, no doubt about it

Is this about Lindsey Stirling? *clicks link* Yup

/She's pretty badass

I hate that her attractiveness makes me want to check it out even more. I mean, I already love electronic music, and I love violins.

I have only one question...does SHE mix violin with dubstep or is there a producer of some sort that's pulling her strings?

The term "Dubstep" should be killed with fire

House OF Blues.

Fixed that for myself.

I thought the violin was fine on its own and didn't need all that electronic garbage.

Nerdy glasses can really make a chick look hot.

I've been hearing this for weeks on playlists for LoL streamers (don't judge me). Good to have a name to associate with it, as I'd love hear more.

Yeah... I remember hearing stuff like this on the New Age radio station in the 1980s. It's hardly new.

Damn straight. I haven't heard his stuff for years until recently, when I got a bunch of classic albums on iTunes (Imaginary Voyage, Cosmic Messenger, Enigmatic Ocean). Man, they are even better than I remembered.

Ah, Emilie Autumn. I want to like her, but I feel like I'm too old to be listening to her stuff. :/ Loved 'I Know Where You Sleep'.

On topic, I approve of this. Thanks for the link, subby.

Hahaha!  She makes a great dork!  Thanks for that.

I like the music, though both the songs in the link sound pretty similar... her exaggerated violin movement/dancing in the videos is pretty cheesey though.

2013-04-23 05:35:48 PM
She's got some good moves. Someone needs to write a script for a movie with a pixie superhero that plays a magic violin. When someone needs help these singing blades pop out of her fiddle and she turns into a martial artist superstar.

I'd watch it...

You should hear her Skyrim cover. It's better than the original imo.

From the headline, I thought this was classical versions of dubstep songs.  Some violin, a bit of viola, then bam, Cello drop.

her stuff is heavily indie/DIY so unless she has some producer doing her a favor i get the impression a lot of the production is all on her. the original dub-fiddle song was, as i understand it, her goofing around with protools and jamming over loops in her off-time.

i mean, hell, her videos are ALL shot by her boyfriend, for crying out loud.

/she sings purty too, believe it or not.

wildcardjack: It's violin jamming over dubstepish EDM.

And it's very bland, underwhelming "dubstepish EDM."

Nothing exceptional about it.  Minus the violin, there are hundreds of kids tossing out near identical tracks with a pirated copy of Fruityloops hoping to be the next Skrillex.

If she wasn't nerd-hot attractive, nobody would even look twice.

She's got skills, no doubt about it, but it would be more interesting with some decent producers who would bring more to the mix than just some stock sounds.
