Having owned a red heeler ACD once (Jack here's a blue) I assure you he knows exactly what's going on. Those dogs are smart and they have a sense of humor.

This is a fascinating study on a pair of communities on the 'net. This Buzzfeed is actually based on a Reddit thread, the author copy/pasta'ed the images from it.

So... Reddit said 'Aww' and Fark says 'meh'. Because we are too ma-toor to enjoy things for what they are around these parts.

Nothing a little training can't do.

My husky isn't smart enough, but I've trained her husky/chow pup sp that I can put treats on her nose and she will wait until I say "okay" before she tries to get it.

Yup. My aunt shows ACDs and they are absolutely wonderful. So much so that it kind of makes me sad that she just has a "business relationship" with her dogs. They would be awesome pets because they are so smart and socialized, and always stick to the discipline they were taught.

Whenever I get a dog again, I'm totally getting a working breed. They need more exercise and all, but their temperament is just unparalleled. I really cannot fathom why people put up with the likes of chihuahuas and toy breeds.

My other dogs have been corgis, also recommended if you like smart dogs. But you are right about the need for exercise.

Maybe all of Fark are lurking Redditors and have already seen it. Blase hipster approach syndrome?
