It's Fox saying this, when an immigration reform bill is going through Congress at the moment that is not popular with the Right, so tell me why I should believe this story?

I just finished reading Mark Bowden's "Guests of the Ayatollah", about the Iranian Embassy takeover.

One of the highlights- one of the guards asked one of the hostages if he thought that the whole incident would hurt his chances of getting a US visa after it was all over.

Why do people that hate the US insist on coming here?

fox may short-circuit in a moment. their prime directive is to be the mouthpiece of the GOP, and the mainstream GOP wants the immigration bill to pass after getting its ass handed to it in the last election. however, fox's viewers are old, white racists who would rather not see the bill pass. so right now fox is in a quandary: do we satisfy our viewers or our masters in washington?

Not this shiat again...

The only person who could have said this is the carjack victim. The same victim who couldn't decide if he escaped or was set free so he told both stories.

The same man who said that they told him they were headed to Manhattan, but then recanted and said that he thought he maybe heard the word "Manhattan" when they were speaking Russian or Chechen.

The same guy who is now not saying this anymore.

He is Chinese. As was one of the dead victims.

The race they targeted was an international sporting event with athletes from 97 countries. There was ZERO expectation that victims would only be US citizens, and every expectation that there would be foreigners in the crowd.

They did not care who they blew up. It makes no sense at all that they would suddenly care who they shot.

People who bomb marathons then try to go on with their daily lives for a couple days might not have thoughts that seem entirely logical to the rest of us?  I can't believe it.

Sure it does. If they wanted to blow up Chinese people they would have gone to China. They were intent on killing Americans. That's Jihad 101.

...because EVERYONE wants to go the usa..Seriously I live in the UAE and whenever I tell them I'm from ny they're all..like OMFGBBQWOW I want to go to Americaaaaa. (And anyone who tells you otherwise is full of shiat). Even the european expats here...we actually have people that really want to go the us for work related issues and get mad when they're in the company for x years and work doesn't sponsor a us visa....

Looks like someone has never been to a marathon before. Yes, it is an international event, but it is so overwhelmingly (white) American it is not even funny. Besides, by the time of the explosions the Kenyans were probably done with the marathon by two hours.

My default is to believe this story until it is proven otherwise. ]I doubt I can disabuse you of that notion so I won't try.

Indiscriminately bombing innocent 8-year-olds may not bat an eye in Chechnya, but these guys are truly foolish to think that we have the same tolerance and desensitization to that kind of senseless violence here.

There is a generation of young males growing up in the Middle East and Western Asia who think setting off EIDs for your cause is common and just a way of life, just a phase of growing up.  It has become almost a lifestyle in some parts of the world.

If that account is true, it almost sounds like they wanted to get caught.  Bragging about being the bombers, exposing plans to go to NY, letting him get away only to call 911.  I'm glad it went this way rather than quietly sneaking into NY and doing it again, but it seems fishy.

Just as importantly as the Chinese victim, it's also notable that these guys were pinned in Watertown because nonAmerican naked carjack victim helped the police and saved lives when they utilized his cell phone's location.
So I'm not sure if my point is that my heart says that I trust immigrants and can't waste my time with racism and racists, or if in the event of terrorism there is no race, mostly just good people helping.  Or is the lesson learned here that when you're a terrorist, you can't afford to make exceptions?  Once word leaks out that you've gone soft people begin to disobey you and then it's nothing but work work work all the time.
Wait, scratch that last one.  It only applies to pirates

You should add this to the comments section of the article on the Fox site.  It would be fun to see the crazy replies to it.

I've seen this carjacking account in two places...The Daily Mail and Fox. It might as well be the Enquirer.

Lawrence O'Donnell last night said he got the same story from the carjack victim. I'm sure he wants to avoid the spotlight so he doesn't get a bunch of Real Americans calling him an accomplice.

And while he was busy dicking around with his magazine, that's when I'd draw and put a few in his torso.

From what I understood, the Chinese guy who got away, flat out escaped.  One brother was inside, one was pumping gas, the guy took his chances that they wouldn't shoot him in a public area.  There was no "letting him go" at all.

In the following minutes, the three drove the streets of Cambridge, stoping at bank machines where the brothers forced their victim to withdraw money, all while talking of their plans, according to reports. The victim said his abductors only decided not to kill him because he "wasn't an American," and also  talked of going to New York next, according to reports.

So they forced the guy to mine ore? That's hardcore.
