Wouldn't dodging the sequel imply not making it?

Perfect use of that gif.

I agree. I'm still chuckling.

As long as they have Rip Torn again, I'm in.

I'd rather get hit with the wrench

I don't know, they killed him off in MiB.

I dodged the first one, I'll dodge this one.

I'd actually go see it.

i don't care what you haters say, the first one was hilarious.

I hope Lance Armstrong is in it to give another important, passionate speech about fighting against long odds. That won't look ridiculous in hindsight.

Might be funny if he did it with an IV plugged into his arm

What happened to Vaughn? He had so mush potential... Or at least I thought he did back in the Swingers/Clay Pigeons/Cool Dark Place days.

When Swingers came out, I thought he was a pretty good actor.  Turns out, he can only play one character: Vince Vaughn

It's sad that the only two things I remember from that movie is the wrench bit and "Nobody makes me bleed my own blood."

Balls of Fury was a funnier movie.

2013-04-22 09:23:47 PM
I would rather see Zoolander 2. Seriously. Dodgeball wasn't all that funny or good though it did have some decent lines.

Dow Jones and the Temple of Doom: What happened to Vaughn? He had so mush potential... Or at least I thought he did back in the Swingers/Clay Pigeons/Cool Dark Place days.

He was typecast by his own success. I seem to remember him being competent in "The Cell" but now hes just fast talking loud mouth.

At the very least, "Dodgeball" helped bring the game back to respectability.

I get it now.

A MiB film was fuxored so the Jeff Bridges movie and Rip Torn...

I'm not saying he's the same character. The point is they couldn'tget the actor because this is his last known photo.

Give the guy a break. I can count on one hand the number of movie stars who play characters other than themselves. Especially comedic actors.

Vince's career is going to need a boost if The Internship bombs (and the trailer looks terrible.) The Watch and The Dilemma both tanked hard and his last listed movie, Lay the Favorite (with Bruce Willis and Catherine Zeta-Jones) only made 20 grand, despite being directed by Stephen Frears. I've never even heard of it.

I will never, ever understand the love for that movie. It was a half assed attempt at funny that was more pathetic than anything.

Who could forget Old School? It only came out a decade ago, he's still riding that wave.

My friend and I saw Dodgeball at the dollar theater, on 50 cents night, with a half off coupon. So he threw 50 cents down for both of us. Afterwards he said he thought the Lance Armstrong scene was worth 25 cents, so it wasn't a complete waste of money. Even on a borrowed quarter I still felt ripped off. I'm not sure what other movies I've seen in the theater that were worse. Oceans 12 maybe? There was a pretty awful Ashley Judd movie called Twisted...I'd say those are the 3 worst.

If they took all the funny scenes from Old School, Wedding Crashers, Dodgeball, etc... and compiled them into a montage, you'd probably have a pretty funny movie from start to finish.

See, I liked Wedding Crashers and Dodgeball, but when I was watching Old School all I could think of was "God, these guys are pathetic trying to relive their glory college days. It's kinda sad." The fact that it had Will Ferrell doing his patented "yelling idiot manchild" character didn't help it either.

Whatever, Dodgeball is funny and I look forward to a sequel.
I grew up on Mel Brooks and I can't stand the hangover.

I enjoyed the Hangover but I only laughed out loud once - when Chow jumped out of the trunk. Enjoyed the movie, didn't think it was all that funny.

I read that as "Dodgeball Z" and thought we'd get to see Vince Vaughn fight Goku, preferably played by experienced silly wig wearer Nic Cage. I am disappoint.

BASEketball and Harlem Nights are the only 2 movies I've ever walked out on.

(My father also took me to see Time Bandits when I was very young and he made us leave halfway through.  Something must have been inappropriate though I've seen it 100 times since and I can't imagine what the problem was)

Right on the farking money. And I liked Anchorman but the rest of his shtick is just sad/bad/repetitious.

LIked Zoolander and Starsky and Hutch too.
