//Religious wars must stop and its up to the Christians to stop warring first as they have killed millions more people.

This isn't the Boobies to suggest that there was some sort of connection between the Right and/or the Teaparty and the Boston Bombers. Explain how?  Especially since there's a thread from earlier today where the Right/Teaparty groups were being condemned for wanting this guy to be stripped of his citizenship, raped, tortured and then finally executed in ways that violates the Constitution.

that photo convinced me I did not want to see any more of the carnage.

it's a good reminder of what those guys did.

this kid laid the bomb behind the 8 year old who got blown up. hard to have mercy for this Chechen dbag.

that being said, I hope he understands what he did was wrong. I hope he lives long enough to regret his actions... not because he was caught, but because he did something so foul. I hope he gains real insight, real regret.

Hating on America? When did this start?

Silly Jesus: falling all over yourself to insult the "pigs" who arrested him as treating him harshly and making up some straw man nonsense about an educated college student not understand that he doesn't have a burden to admit anything to the cops.

Absolutely correct. Those people in your imagination really went overboard.

Silly Jesus: I wasn't referring to defense of his actions, but defense of his treatment.  Miranda / Combatant / Excessive force etc.

Sigh. Yes, I'm exactly this bored.

You don't have to be a "libtard" to believe that everyone in this country deserves due process. That includes the whole Miranda process. That's not a "libtard" thing, that's an "America" thing. There's nothing to indicate that they were enemy combatants and I haven't heard anyone outside the lunatic fringe who said there was "excessive force".

You got nothing.

I think he might mean the folks who want to see him actually be tried. Apparently wanting to see justice done and served is "defending" him.

Oh, you must mean those un-American libtardos that weren't immediately trying to figure out a way to strip him of his citizenship.

Ok I know I should be ashamed of myself for biting at this bullshiat but pray tell, why would people defending this guy be a "libtard" thing?

The "excessive force" folks, for one.

Ah, more stupid shiat from you. Good, nice to have constants in the world.

What I find even more disturbing is the seemingly media's wiliness to go lock and step with what they are told they can and can't report. Why nothing about the Saudi national that was originally taken into custody? Why have we not heard how he was quietly deported for terrorist activities and how his wealthy family called favors to get him home and special treatment? How John Kerry's office put it together?

So expecting the authorities to Mirandize him and try him in court are defending him? Also, those sentiments are "libtard" exactly how?

The Lynch mob mentality on display in Fark is pretty sickening. By all means, if the guy is found guilty of the crimes he has been accused of, then he should be punished accordingly.

I hope the same. I think there is chance that he will be rehabilitated unlike Anders Breivik who is just plain crazy. Breivik got 21yrs.

Charming attractive guy, so much so that has friends had no idea he was remotely capable of doing anything bad to people at all, and didn't say anything even when they saw the pics and it looked just like him.
And even people online try to make all kinds of excuses for him "He's just a kid, his brother probably brainwashed him, maybe he didn't even know what was going on."
Why? Because nothing on his twitter feed or anything his friends have said shows he's anything but a regular young kid. He's not. No doubt he's good at acting the part, but he comes off as way too "normal" for it to be genuine, yet still do what he did.
In fact I think there may even be a chance he used his brothers radicalization to  convince HIM to go through with the acts. His brother seemed somewhat impulsive and alienated, but he was pretty transparent, even attracting fbi attention - not cunning. Everyone knew something was amiss with him, even if they didn't think he'd go this far, and the fact that he ended up with domestic violence charges also shows impulsive behavior. However, the younger brother seems very intelligent, and had everyone convinced he was practically a saint.

I've seen the vid and the way he was smiling and acting calm, even after the blast, along with how he totally snowed his friends and family into thinking he was this sweet and  fine upstanding young man, convinces me that he is likely a sociopath. A true sociopath you'll almost never suspect is capable of anything until they get caught red handed. Add some narcissism in and it explains the whole backward hat not even trying to really hide identity "try and catch me" thing. He even went back to school and acted absolutely normal after the bombing, other than a friend saying he seemed a little down. That's not the mark of someone that accidentally got caught up in his brothers crap and didn't know what was going. It's the behavior or someone who is used to putting on an act for the public.

So yeah, point being I was kind of expecting this to happen. Gain a Mansonesque following so to speak. Surprised it started happening so soon, but with the internet and all I guess things start up quick. Oh well.

Apparently the US state dept has a Terrorist Trolling Dept.   Ya know, to crush the will of the young terrorists online so they don't actually go try to make bombs and shiat.

American conservatives and Islamic militants are not deliberately cooperating.

But they are working for the same goal of ruining the lives of normal people.

Yeah, some chuckleheads obviously don't know how long it takes to assemble a case against someone, even if you've basically caught them red-handed.

I've often thought that there is an element of slowing things down in the legal system primarily to provide a sober look at the case.  This would hopefully minimize the conspiracy nuts and the lynchers.

Living six miles from his campus and all the other miscellaneous threads of last week that I got tied into, I heartily say THIS.

\the kid mistakenly held at gunpoint by the FBI at the Port Jefferson ferry on Friday? Friend of mine.  You probably didn't hear about that one though
\\Work friends were locked in the Watertown Target all Thursday night because of the initial shootout outside the store
\\\Another friend of mine is a concierge at the Westin Copley, and passed the bombing site about twenty minutes beforehand
\Also, she needed to get Wolf Blitzer an electric blanket last night, guess it was cold out

The one they stripped naked?  If it's that guy he was all over the news for a bit.  Was he pissed?

Well I doubt anyone posted those exact words but if there was any debate to that effect it's because some were calling this a terrorist attack and that they should be sent to Gitmo without trial. Calling every single act of violence a terror attack is a slippery slope that yes, us libtards are wary of that.

You don't think maybe that's a reaction to a decade of people being disappeared with no due process thanks to the PATRIOT Act?

There's a huge difference between insisting on the accused (because he IS innocent until proven guilty - that's the basis of our entire legal system) being afforded his full rights under the Constitution (due process, habeas corpus, right to a fair trial - you know, things that used to mean something until we as a society shiat our collective pants when we got hit) and saying "Free Jahar")

Mock26: I am OK with this.  No, seriously.  Let him go.  Take him to South Boston, announce over a PA system that he is going to be released, wait for a crowd to gather, release him, and then have all the police turn around and walk/drive away.  If gets out of there alive then drop all charges.  If not, oh well.  Accidents happen.

That's what I always wished for Osama Bin Asshat.  Just announce when and where he was being dropped in NYC, and let nature take it's course.
